  1. Excellent! Just be carefull...the next day we'll be tested by WADA...I'll have a high testosterone count for sure! (and a headache to match!)
  2. BWHAHAHAHAHAHAH Big H!!!! Almost had you lot Jason, can you invite Grapkas, Chilli and slowpoke?
  3. No, send Michelle out...
  4. Dude, my Santa Cruz Blur weights in at around 13kg's, so I want to be able to bring other luggage like underwear as well...it will have to be a road bike. So Jason, so you have a spare room available?
  5. Trying to convince some contractors that I need to fly to Jhb on a Friday for a meeting (and stay the weekend), so I can bring the bike along and meet some of the Jhb hubbers on the road
  6. Remember the PezCycling pic?
  7. Oh what the hell! Pieter Blaauw 25 October 1974 Arauma Carriers (and Outriders Club) Blood clean (except a little testosterone when I see Chilli Pepper's pic)
  8. Takkies or cleats? No no! I am not riding a 80km race with takkies! Cleats please
  9. Man that sounds like a lot of pain...but cheaper than Cape Epic
  10. If only my one knee could take the pounding of running, I might be convinced to try it for 2008...not next yr...that would be suicide!! Now maybe I should go see Paul at BikeMax to see what my knee can and can't do...
  11. Personally I think the guys training for it are NUTS! Who wants to do a 42km marathon after they've almost done a Dbl Century! I take my hat off to them though!
  12. I've been thinking about this monster of an event. A few people at the office are training for it, and one guy has now done two already (albeit around the 12hr mark).. How difficult is it really? Any hubbers here that have done it?
  13. I second that notion! &^%$ the skinsuits
  14. Nope, only the Paardeberg mini-climb...but it's enough to kill my legs. You better bring your SA's form that day smurfie!
  15. Don't blame the player, blame the game! I can't help it I like 'hot' food
  16. BikeMax: I spoke to mdk555 last night and the 555EXPRESS is on loan to fatty and the_kid for the weekend. We'll be there!
  17. Good morning Hot-stuff!
  18. Chris doesn't know it yet, but he is going to be fitting my next frame with parts...
  19. Michelle: the question is if Jason was in the skinsuit as well?
  20. Does Michelle own a skinsuit?
  21. Buy a skinsuit? No, seriously...I've been putting in some good miles lately, and am careful not to overdo it. After a hard block of 5days, I take two days off...even if I feel fine after the first day off. Guess the best bet is to take the rest of the week and weekend off. Take the wife somewhere for a picnic, forget about the bike / job etc and try riding Monday? Also, pm Bikemax and CVANC as they will give far better advice than me
  22. Ok, guys...give Falcon Sports a chance to actually sort all of this out. It's the first time the PPA has given the running of the league to an outside contractor so of course it's not going to run 100%. The league sub-comittee is meeting tonight (I'm part of it) and some suggestions will be made. For one, I'm going to suggest they have a list at the table for league entries where you sign in...that way you acknowledge to abide by the rules. My second suggestion is that if there is a problem or a dispute in whatever league, be it Elite, or Masters etc, a formal appeal is lodged with Falcon Sports, and then the league sub-comittee reviews it and makes a desicion. Anyone else have a suggestion they'd like to bring to the table?
  23. Yeah...nice and easy just talking crap and cruising. Not exactly a recovery day (considdering that darn mtb weights something close to 13 or 14kg's!)
  24. So after doing 550km's last week, Monday was supposed to be a rest day for fatty. Unfortunately for fatty, one of my mates convinced me to go for a recovery ride in Koeberg Nature Reserve...(just to make sure they don't drop a bolt or a nut in the reactor again and make us another Chernobil) Here are some of the pictures. Definately a ride I can recommend for more novice riders...very easy flattish and a nice 21km loop. We rode from Tableview (15km's each way extra). Entry was free, and there's ample parking for people that want to drive there rather. Darren making sure we knew were to go at the start... Some Eland in the distance...there were also some Zebra, Springbok etc, but the camera only had a digital zoom and we weren't intent on getting closer to them. Fatty enjoying a munchie bar at one of the picnic tables. Darren at one of the pools of water. Note the big bird-watching hut on the left. Terrible country isnt it? Fatty getting hungry (again!) Fatty enjoying coffee and a chicken salad for lunch at WestCoast Centre Wimpy. Darren deciding he needs his bodyfat % raised (I hate skinny buggers!)
