  1. I also don't agree. I loved the fact that this race had some good technical parts so that everyone got tested as an all round mountain biker if all a race tests is pedalling then it might as well be a road race. Mountain biking is about those technical skills and pedalling and if you cant ride something then no one will hate on you for walking.
  2. IMO scott is much better as it should be lighter and have a better suspension system with the twinlock. it also seems to have some XT components over the Giants SLX this is also a nice benifit.
  3. Why will you grow jelous of the awesomeness of lycra. P.S i know u still use it as pjs
  4. But crankbrothers for the win
  5. Damn straight i live in my lycra. No jokes
  6. Sounds good might come ride on the 4x as dh bike needs some tlc after last week
  7. For another alternitive theres a nice jump spot called the vlei in boksburg
  8. I have yet to gain the ability to see the future
  9. I will sponsor you some plaster of paris for your next broken arm
  10. Thanks alot, think thats a great option then much lighter than crests. But if you just bought the wheelset it would be lighter but the hopenhubs are nicer.
  11. Dont think you can get the AM classics as just rims as they are a wheel set. Think you have to get the AM classic 101s. I stand to be corrected
  12. You realise that makhulu means big. and thus it would want bigger wheels. I actually think a 29er would do really well on this course though with only like 3 hard corners up top and lots of peddling
  13. Its actually a 29er in disguise. Im so tall that it looks like a 26er
  14. patches loves Lycra more than he likes his morewoods
  15. Well Said It doesn't matter what we ride all that matters is that you ride. I really don't get this hate of 29ers what's wrong with them. Don't even come with the augment that they are s#!t in the technical stuff its not about the bike its the rider. Are you guys just scared of progression. As for Lycra just remember that everyone was wearing it at world champs fore DH a few years back until it got banned for being to fast. flame suit on
  16. Evoc
  17. Ya on such a rocky course you wouldn't feel comfy without a full face and gloves.
  18. *mutch
  19. It is pretty mush in a suburb. Parking is at the bottom of the track on Graphite Road.
  20. That video looks that last section look sooooooo flat. But that definitely is the best Helderkruin track
  21. Pila would be worth a day trip. They have this crazy long single track with steep switchbacks and roots but also with some good flow and it literary is 30 min of descending without even taking a single pedal stroke.
  22. Sounds Good.
  23. That course made the cascades pedalling section look short.
  24. Does any one know that the weight of the rim is?
