  1. I've just put this fork on my Kona coil air, its a really awesome fork for the price. Mine is the 150/120mm option, You can get the spacer kits for them to space it down to 140, I haven't researched it though just read that in the manual somewhere, I can double check tonight when I get home.
  2. Absolutely awesome event! The most fun to be had with your clothes on. Really well done guys, the stages were very well planned and marked out. Thank you to everyone involved and let me know next year if you need some extra hands with the setting up I'm always keen to help out. oh who were the guys taking pics on stage 1? anyone know?
  3. Eish 30 seconds is close
  4. Don't worry about that, Just take out your brake pads at the top of each stage, you wont slow anyone down... There is no order to who heads down the trail first or the gap between riders so before who head off make sure there is enough of a gap between you and the guy in front of you to not get held up, If everyone applies this principal there should be no hold ups, if someone leaves straight after you I suppose thats their problem if they get held up
  5. Can we start with stage 6?
  6. Which part of the trail would I have been going the wrong way on? Not being arrogant or anything just so I know for future, from what I saw all the parts I rode I was heading in the right direction. I think you are referring to last years stage one which went the wrong direction down the switchbacks on the blue route when I am referring to the route in Nigel's first video he put onto this forum, which goes down fern hill... although I do agree that even doing that is "dangerous and irresponsible"
  7. Where the Fun begins
  8. You do the blue route up the switchbacks once you get to the quarry get out onto the tar road and turn right up the hill, about 3/4 of the way up the hill you will see the pylons on the right, at the moment its really well marked out for the upcoming enduro, Its an absolutely awesome track the Nigel and the guys have done an amazing job here!
  9. Rocky Bay is a nice camping spot if you in the KZN area with some really nice trails about a km from the campsites
  10. Went for a quick sneaky run down stage one yesterday.... My tires ran out of grip, and I ran out of talent.... Awesome course though well done guys, Putting better tires on tonight...
  11. Its Limited to 200 entries, but check on Roag, it says how many entries are still available. I Just checked at the moment theres 92 of a maximum of 200 entries, so still plenty space. http://www.roag.co.za/enter-an-event/mtb/giba-gravity-enduro.aspx PULL IN!!!!!!

    MTB in NZ

Its a hire car, you can strap the bike to the bonnet!
  13. That's absolutely awesome! Well done guys! I got sweaty palms just watching it!
  14. Also entered weeks ago! Cant wait to let KonaLisa loose I'll just be flapping in the wind behind her like a flag!
  15. I had exactly the same problem with my rear hub. I bought a Nuke Proof Generator rear hub from CRC and built the wheel up myself, I got it as true as I possibly could without a truing stand then took the wheel in to get it trued up properly for R70. Definitely worth it, now I am just waiting for my front hub to fail so I can match it with my Nuke Proof rear. If you are going to get a new hub stay away from Shimano, none of their hubs are sealed cartridge bearings, I was looking at the Halo Spin Doctor which has great reviews but battle to get spares so I went with the Nuke Proof. According to the reviews its just as strong as the Hope Pro 2's but without the price tag and has more points of engagement.
  16. Thats the whole reason I run BEEEEEGGGGG knobblies, its a good excuse for me being fat and lazy at the back of the pack!
  17. I have the Maxxis high Roller (2.5) on the front and Maxxis Monorail (2.2) on the back. I had the Onza Ibex on the back its a nice tire and very sticky but wears down very very quickly!
  18. Oh and I'm so glad my wife doesnt go on the hub because she would bliksem me if she read that post!
  19. Mine sleeps in the garage, and my bike next to me in bed
  20. No you see that's where you are getting it wrong, I spoke very nicely first, by his reaction he deserved the klap. People cant go around shooting their mouth's off at women, children and people that they feel they can intimidate. I would never resort to violence but discipline and respect are 2 things I hold in very high regard, and I will always stand up for my family and should someone threaten them or disrespect them, then I will step up to the plate.
  21. I honestly cannot believe there are people who think its ok to speak like that to children. I suppose it takes all types to make the world go round but if you swear at my daughter my friend I will gladly issue one DCM and make you apologize to my daughter. I had a similar (but not so similar) issue with a guy swearing at my wife. She was driving the car (a scary notion I admit) in a parking lot at the farmers market here in Hillcrest looking for a parking she stopped while waiting for a car to reverse out of their parking when a guy came past her screaming out his window, "If you don't know how to F#@$en drive keep your f#$%en car off the road!" and proceeded to park 3 cars in, fortunately his car wasn't too difficult to spot, I waited there for him, when he returned I asked him (at first) very politely why he thought it was OK to speak to a lady in that manner. He responded "agg f#$% off man, to which I responded with a tight klap around his ears followed by ordering him to go up to my wife who was busy eating her breakfast and to apologize. which he duly did. my wife still knows nothing about the incident and why the man decided to apologize. I believe some people just need a wake up call once in a while!
  22. Awesome!!!!
  23. Nice one! good to see there are still some good fellas around!
