  1. If you going to use another head unit instead of the Garmin you might have a look at the Joule, from what I've heard it really user friendly unlike the PowerTap head unit
  2. Very sad story but I have to add that this migt be the first time ever I have heard of a roadie riding past another roadie without concern whether they ok or not. I do feel your anger and shame but maybe, just maybe they were having a real hard time in these windy conditions we have today and though "not today really not today" just a though
  3. yes I'm sitting here like an idiot waiting to see the channel change on SS7
  4. 30 sent, good luck
  5. looking forward to seeing you achieve your 3:30 next year Wobbles, I too have not had a good Argus yet. Lets start praying now already for good weather. I kinda wished the Argus was a week earlier as the Sunday before was a perfect day for the road event.
  6. I really envy the photographer - very nice pics (thumbs up)
  7. Stinger I really hope you product works as I have looking for a solution for a long time now, on my way to purchase some (keeping fingers crossed)
  8. here's thought, if yo are using the spinning bike in the gym remember there is lots of momentum that carries you pedal stroke over from 1 stroke to the next. on the road you don't have that pleasure hence the more you train on the road and less in the gym you will increase your strength sooner than later.
  9. 100% agree I bonk on race because of using 1 on the start line, never again
  10. You will learn from trial and error where to take your bike or where not to take your bike, eg I won't take my bike to CWC as I had a bad experience yet other Hubbers might have received good service there, I recommend Crown Cycles as they always go the extra mile to satisfy their customers. Tel: 021- 671 6382 | Fax: 021- 671 6381 | Physical Address: 219 Lansdowne Road , Claremont
  11. I too have had a few bad experiences therefore concluded that people who don't cycle envy those who do as we travel just as fast without paying for petrol
  12. Well done Elvin, to make it even easier try to join riders with similar goals, training or simply riding with someone make it much more pleasurable.
  13. wow that was a tough one. Wind wind and more wind - PPA groups were so little that M got to ride with A, A-M and N-Z were the only 2 groups. Was alot of fun though.
  14. Boys Drive is not a problem but its very unlikely that it will be used as they almost done with the re-construction of the main road.
  15. definately Raleigh, i think
  16. Not funny
  17. Got a Edge 305 if you need advice - probably the best investment I have thus far, if you intend to study your data and use the training features that comes with both the 305 and 705 you can't go wrong, ie virtual partner (ride against yourself), router plotting and many more. I do think that the 705 at almost twice the price of the 305 personally was not worth it (only my opinion).
  18. Thanks to the hub all has been explained - if anybody out there won a Bike I need one just kidding will see what it will cost to repair tomorrow. Thanks for the concern PeterM yes I'm ok but I can assure you I am looking for that rider who was in front of me. Not to pursue anything but to let him know the rules of the road. Reckless cycling is worse that reckless driving. Hashiem2008-10-12 09:47:16
