  1. I used cytomax years ago - its simply too sweet for my taste. If Cadence is like it then its not for me either. When you first taste Heed you think you got the mixture wrong as it is very very subtle.
  2. Since Hammer are out of stock of Heed for the next month I need an alternative for shorter rides. Can anyone who's tried Heed and Cadence Energy comment on the sweetness of Cadence and what flavour to get? One of the main reasons I use Heed is its very subtle taste so if Cadence tastes like 'Energade' then its probably not for me.
  3. They will traversing some of the winefarms in constantia - apparently coming out somewhere near the Nek.
  4. Having done crossfit for about 10 months I've recently decided to stop. I've enjoyed it thoroughly but I'm finding it conflicts with cycling - especially if you increase your riding intensity/volume. Even after months of doing crossfit there are still sessions where my body is seriously fatigued for days. At my box I have no control over what they've got planned for session (which is good - keeps things interesting) however it often meant I arrived Monday evening to do a sufferfest of squat type exercises which means doing intervals Tues/Wed very difficult. My second issue with CF is that not everyone at CF is ever going to compete at the CF games.. If you only go to the box twice a week then there will be exercises/movements that you only get round to once a month. So trying to teach me to do a walking handstand is just a waste of time - I'll never master it and quite frankly have no ambitions to walk on my hands! For variety and the "off" season its great but if you're on limited time then there is no substitute for the bike. I'd be interested in hearing how some of the others that do crossfit fit it all in and how they structure their week.
  5. Hi, I'm considering a new IDT and see the CWC has the Bushido bluetooth at R10500 which seems like a good price. From what I've read on this thread most you are pro the Powerbeam. The problems most of you mention are related to software/lock in etc. I'm not overly concerned about lock in and getting data out is not really a big deal for me since I've got a power meter which I'll continue to with my Garmin. I havent seen any comments on which IDT has a better "feel"? I havent ridden on any of these trainers so would appreciate some feedback. I currently use the first Cyclops Fluid - I've had it since 2005 and it hasnt given me a moments trouble. It doesnt however "feel" like the road. thanks.
  6. How does this compare to trans baviaans? Obviously longer, and hotter but what else?
  7. Hi, are these new programs based on heart rate or power?
  8. My personal choice is to stay with wide bars.. But its her bike.. When I upgraded my wife (medium frame, 170cm height) from a 26er Anthem to a 29er Anthem she found the bars too wide so I changed it out.
  9. It looked like there were many more deep section wheels this year. How much of a difference does this really make?

  11. Ride the race next year - you'll have lots of people in front of you to show you the way!
  12. Hi, the quarter turn clip mechanism edges broke off yesterday when my Edge 500 popped out of one of those generic extendable holders.. (that will teach me!). I phoned the Jhb office and they won't give me an indication of how much to fix (even if I send them a photo). Did they replace yours for R1200 or was that the cost of replacing the back of the unit? thanks.
  13. you are not alone.
  14. Rather go with one of these - http://www.cwcycles.co.za/product/santini-tempo-ls-jersey
  15. Didn't he get 2 years? Or like all other sentences in this country did it reduced?
