Looking for ideas for a budget friendly weekend away to enjoy some scenic safe road riding in and around KZN. Wanting to break the monotony of local rides. Have done a few weekends away for mtb rides and have recently taken up road riding again. Looking for some hidden gem weekend destinations near some awesome safe scenic road riding. For some info I was sick three weeks back minor flu and took a week off after an easy week prior to falling ill

On weekends I do longer single track based mtb rides and races. During the week I ride a tar based training ride with as much climbing as I can in time available. Week rides 40km 800m climbing. Weekends mtb 60 to 90km 1200 to 1800m climbing with a fair amount of technical riding. Like others have mentioned I have been feeling sluggish on the weekend rides and need to address this quick

Probably a dumb assumption...A couple months back I changed my mid week mtb training rides (on the road) to road bike training rides. The mileage and climbing are virtually the same but I seem to have gotten slower on the mountain bike. Anyone had a similar experience or am I missing something? Basically my weekend mtb rides are tougher over same route..

Hi there. I heard someone mention an awesome trail around Albert Falls Dam. It wasnt quite in the dam area itself but the route went to and around the dam. Please let me know if you have an idea or route information. Planning a weekend away and want to explore some good trails. We have ridden around the reserve but looking to do a longer route. Hi guys. Wanting to attach Thule rack with Pro Rides to 7 ft Venter GTE Trailer. Which foot pack or adaptor can I use. I see there is an adaptor bracket at 4x4 Megworld. Wo dering if its not possible to mount rack directly to lid? Please share pics if you have done this thanks Ryan

Hi Guys. Need some help getting my SS ideas in order. I have been toying with the idea of building a SS mtb but have talked myself out if it when looking at SS Specific Steel (laarnie) Build. Thought I had a way forward when I decided to buy a budget 26er V Brake bike for a steal but when I added uo the cost for new wheels and brakes etc I mused that perhaps a disc brake newer 26er would be more cost effective in the long run. If I had the budget I would go for a nice 29er and not dabble in the project. I have read this thread studiously and gather that it may be a personal choice thing but hope that the guys who built some of these lovely 26er SSs could share their experiences. Did you eventually hanker to go 29er?? My question is: Would you do 26 v brake 26 Disc or 29er?? What spec geared bike would you consider as a good value starting point? Sorry Noob questions but had to dive in somewhere :-) Thanks a mill.

Bring back the classified comments. Something of what this site was about has been lost. It has bwcome impersonal as far as I concerned. Please consider those of us who have nade use of the Hub for those reasons.
