  1. I've entered for my first comrades which also means i will also be doing my first marathon as a qualifier. It seems 2018 will be a year of "firsts" for me, I hope i haven't bitten off more than i can chew. Comrades has always been on my bucket list but following this forum and reading about everyones journey and stories has helped to make the decision to enter this year.
  2. Happy birthday Lexx , have a good one !
  3. With the Pegasus 34 that has come out now you can pick up the 33's for a bargain. I paid R969 for a pair at the Nike store at East Rand Mall. They were the lumo yellow ones but I quite like them. Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk

  7. I've never really been a fan of Nike , been more of a NB and Adidas fan but just decided to walk into the Nike store and have a look. When i first tried them on they did feel a bit funny but were still comfortable. The fact that they were on sale also made the decision a bit easier.
  8. So far so good considering the dark and chilly mornings. Hopefully on track for Fred Morrison 21 in September.
  9. I bought a pair of the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 33 this past weekend and took them for a 8km run this morning , felt really comfortable with no aches or pains . Will see how they are on a longer run.

  16. http://www.runnersworld.co.za/news/fordyce-recounts-harrowing-morning-attack/ People said I should go and see a therapist but us runners, we know, that running is the best therapy. “People said I should go and see a therapist but us runners, we know, that running is the best therapy. What better way to deal with this than to go out and finish the run.” Fordyce admitted that he was still shaken by the incident by shouted at his attackers as they drove away. “I shouted: Well done, you just beat up a 61-year-old… I hope you proud of yourself,” Fordyce said. The article on runners world about the Bruce Fordyce attack. I like the answer he gave about seeing a therapist
  17. I also never carry valuables with me but i've wondered how long it will be before they cotton on to what some shoes and watches are worth.
  18. When i go out for those dark , early morning runs this sort of situation usually crosses my mind. Don't know how many times my shadow has scared the crap out of me.

  24. While flipping through the channels I came across the Manchester Marathon highlights. They show an interview with Steve Way(British 100km Record holder) who says his been struggling with a cold the last 10 days so will take it easy. He still finishes in 02h37 even after stopping for a interview midway through the race.
