    Things like slow mag and cramp block not recommended ? Always thought they were fine to take during physical activity.

    I'm going to do the Trail Adventure Trail run at Big Red Barn on Sunday , hope the weather holds out.

    I will also be doing colgate , but only the 15km . Its only a few km away from my place so no need to wake up at the crack of dawn

    Rode there yesterday morning , as usual a tough ride but managed a pb for SBR . There was a bad accident where someone broke a leg after hitting a barrier on one of the downhills. Hope he heals up soon.

    I'm currently on bronze , just need another 139 for silver. For the last couple of months i've been averaging about 18 active days a month. If i had to do the health assessment would i earn then ?

    Thanks for the replies. At the moment i just don't have enough time on my hands to be able to join a club and join in the time trials and club runs. I know i could join a virtual club but would rather join a "real" club and get the support and experience of runners who have been around the block a few times.

    Just a question regarding licences , Do you have to belong to a club to get a licence or can you just get one for the year like you can with cycling ?

    I cycle with the oakley radar ev which have vents in the lenses and they definitely help with not fogging up , just as long as you are moving. When i stop they tend to fog up a bit. Haven't used them for a run yet but im sure they would work just as good.

    That's true , i did mention that maybe she was just having a bad run and was a bit tired and cranky. Other than that the spirit amongst the runners was awesome. One guy stopped , took off his hat and asked if he could take some of the ice cold water in the plastic bins to cool off his solar panel , pointing at his bald head.

    As in cycling you also get runners that aren't that down to earth. I was helping out at the water table in Bradford Road at the Dischem race on sunday and there was a woman walking and one of the guys jokingly chirped that its a running race , wow did she get upset. But then my girlfriend got a chirp from one of the runners that had us laughing. She was cheering on the the runners and was yelling "keep it up" when some guy says " If i can't get it up how am i supposed to keep it up" . She didn't know what to say and after that just yelled well done to the passing runners.

Anybody used them before and maybe have some knowledge of them ? Not going to be doing the comrades , just working towards a half marathon for now.
