  1. En route to Franschoek with the manne last week. I'm sick and missing my bike this week!
  2. If he has a Canadian accent, he's legit. I know him through Kenridge scouts.
  3. Thank goodness they were initially as it helped me not lose them completely!
  4. Without a doubt the correct call was made. I for one was extremely disappointed but after seeing videos of the start and how people were literally blown off their bikes, you can't blame the organisers for doing what they did. Had they gone ahead with the race and people had damaged bikes and hospital bills because of it, I'm sure they would have moaned just as much as the bulk of the moaners and groaners are doing in this forum. See you all at the 2018 CTCT!
  5. 2A again for me this year, for the third time in a row. I've been off for around 2 months due to injury and thus couldn't do the Burger and other races which I ordinarily would have done. I did a 3:14 in the Argus last year and my last race prior to the 99er yesterday was the Durby Dash which moved my seeding up from G to E. I started in group C yesterday. Surely 2A can't be the correct group for me to start in again this year? 3 years back I did a 3:29 (whilst also having started in 2A), then it was the year of the fires (I also started in 2A then), then the 3:14 last year (from group 2A!!! Surely I should have been bumped up to the 1 groups by now? Your thoughts and whether I can and should do anything about possibly moving up a notch or 2? Yesterday's 99er boosted my confidence as I finished in 3:06:32, a 6 minute improvement on last year's race.
  6. Had a good race in C achieving a pb even though my group dropped me at Vissers. ????Thanks to the organisers. ????The massage tent at the end was pure bliss and much needed!!!????
  7. What a stunning and well designed store! Similar to CWC, makes me feel like a kid in a candy store, dangerously enticing! Good luck with the venture guys
  8. My new baby! :-)

  10. I was happy with the way the race was managed. Well done and thanks to all involved. I managed to finish in 2:52, what do you think a reasonable expectation would be for the argus? Im starting in L @ 6:47.
  11. It sounds like post nasal drip which i suffer from as well. Every year i would suffer from URTI, flu', tonsilitis etc so this year i decided to go for a cortesone injection. It worked well for me, i haven't been ill ever since i got the injection which the doc said should last me about 1,5 months. 4 months later it still seems to be working although later in the afternoon the post nasal drip seems to return for about 2 or 3 hours. Believe me when i say ive tried evrything including vitamins, sinus tabs, immune boosters like echinacia etc etc and this seems to be the only thing that has finally helped me. Good luck, i know just how irittating and inconvenient having this ailment can be!
