  1. Thank You. Been at it for a while now. Started building up in Feb 2010 and it originally had modern black 3T bars and stem and a Thompson seat post. Rode it like that and what a comy ride. Had surgery on both ankles so not been on the bike since Sept 2010. Ordered the bars, stem and seatpost a few weeks ago and built it up on the weekend. So been about 16 months so far. Cost is hard to estimate as lots of the groupset, wheels etc, I have been buying and collecting over a long period of time and also second hand stuff - Rough guess about 25 - 30K.
  2. yip, that is the one.
  3. Thanks Fixer.
  4. Frame from Maestro in the UK. Noodle bars are quite interesting with that sweep back towards the rider, not been able to ride as had surgery to ankles, so cannot say how they ride just yet.
  5. The shape of it also matches the fluted tubing on the Master quite nicely. Have a spare one available if you are interested ...... The seat post is also very very nice, 2 bolt adjustment and lots of layback that works well with the Brooks saddle.
  6. Thanks!! Will look so good when the old school wheels are ready but very nice as it is. Contemplated old school frame and high tech everything else but happy with the the way it has turned out. I considered a Rolls (think I have one tucked away somewhere) but went with the Brooks as I loved the leather and brass rivets combination. Suppose I could have gone with a San Marco Regal.
  7. "Almost" Retro - Work In Progress. I still need to do the following: 1. Cut steerer tube. 2. Fit new gear and brake cables. 3. Bar tape. (white but considering yellow) 4. Get Ambrosio excellence rims built up with silver Record hubs. 5. Considering aluminium shifters. Build: Colnago Master X Light Mostly Campagnolo Chorus groupset with Centaur alu crank Campagnolo Zonda Wheels VO stem and seatpost Nitto Noodle bars Brooks Swift saddle

  13. Ordered a new pair of shoes on Monday, package delivered on Wednesday. Open the box and got sent a pair of MTB shoes instead of Road shoes. Called Lizle, explained what had happened and this morning received the correct shoes and a free t-shirt! Some might b|tch and say I should have received the correct order on Wednesday and I would agree, but mistakes do happen and the way it was handled was excellent. Lizle turned what could have been a lousy situation into a pleasant experience.
  14. none as far as I am aware. As I said, i am reasonably sure he was/is doping, the problem for WADA et al is that they have to prove it was deliberate and not from tainted meat. I am also reasonably sure that if more blood samples were sent to the Uni of Cologne and the same tests were used there could be more positive results.
  15. Do I think he doped - probably, I think they all do. The problem is that even in the EU, cattle are regularly doped with Clen (although it is banned there as it is in other parts of the world) and something less than 0.14% of cattle are tested for "doping", so there is uncertainty WRT the source of the clen in AC's sample. Plasticisers could have come from any IV drip and as no protocol exists yet that argument cannoty be used in support.
  16. Poor diddims.
  17. rather too much than too little.
