And how is it their problem that perhaps none of the shops in wp meet their quality criteria? Perhaps they have high standards to maintain and the only way thay can do that is by doing all of the work "in-house"? Would you prefer that they allow anyone to work on the watch and then when it packs up, they get accused of having a lousy product?

The competition was there, it's not as if Merckx won his 5 titles back to back like la did, to me that implies la had no competition at all to win 7 in a row. Races were tougher then as well with longer routes, heavier bikes etc. etc.
