Does anyone know who is timing the event? Considering going up for the road race. Agree with an earlier comment, the roads off of the main road are very narrow and could get hectic - i guess go out hard and get back before the 'masses' arrive

Came across a bike in Europe with Microshift on it (the shifters were white) the components didnt look to bad (personally i didnt like that the shifter cable was external)Is anyone aware of guys in SA with Microshift - what they like to ride with?

Know exactly how you feel with regards to the actual fun building and sourcing all the parts!! Road bike was done last year and I have already started preparing for my MTB build this year. Every time i walk into my LBS i get an instant feel of been ripped off with the bikes on offer and the prices they charge when i know how easy it is to do your own build. In JHB i was training in a well structured class focusing on key races throughout the season, it was enjoyable and i found it to be very beneficial. I have since moved to CT and although i am seriously considering Cadence Cycling the closest branch is in Tygervalley Does anyone know of a class like training facility in the Stellenbosch or Somerset West area?

I have officially booted DSTV, massive relief when i kick my feet up in an evening and i stream content that i want to watch (and that i havent seen repeated a million times) there are no adverts etc etc One problem though the tour is a few months away and i need to find a channel that will be streaming the race - any suggestions

You got the advice in Australia that the Bike is fake - have you actually taken the bike to ASG and got them to confirm it is indeed fake? If after that And it is proved a fake surely both you and ASG would go after the shop legally (not just buy another 'original') and if sorted/not sorted then you come to a forum and vent Something a miss here
