  1. Lots of them on FB market place for a lot less ZARs than that...
  2. I cannot believe after all these years people here are still spouting this nonsense.
  3. Oh, who knew. I Binged it: And:
  4. At nearly R18/litre, that would be enough for me to do something about it. Of course I just changed my entire house to LED's even changed the fittings in the garage from florescent to LED ones. I'm after marginal gains...
  5. With carbon and aluminium as the two things? Surely it can only ever happen between two metals? Is this bloke's "carbon" frame one of those ones we see in the classifieds here with the welds on them? How would an alloy seatpost get stuck in a carbon frame anyway?
  6. As un-technical as "wavy washer" sounds, when I slipped "variable lift washer" into Bing, it came back with a bunch of washing machines.
  7. Are kids expendable in your world?

    Which bike?

I'm looking to get off tarred roads (away from traffic) maybe 3 days a week? As in I train daily, and weekends are group rides, so when I'm on my own I'd like to minimise the risk of traffic killing me. Based on what I'm reading here, I think a mtb will be more versatile. Opinions on this: https://mellowvelo.co.za/shop/bikes/hardtail-mtb/silverback-stride-elite-2021/

You okes are gonna piss Oom Ben off here. I did see a Norco that looks right up my street. I'm gonna go to Finish Line quick and see if they have one otherwise it's off to broadacres.

    Which bike?

https://www.cyclesuk.com/bikes/hybrid-bikes/whyte-2020-hoxton-v1-electric-bike__182178 Of course I want to spend closer to R6k than R60k...

    Which bike?

    Yes sir. Thank you sir.
  14. So, after my recent episode of being knocked off whilst training, I was thinking of getting a something off-road to spend less time in traffic. I certainly don't want to do any mtb type events or anything, mainly just to get miles in off road. I was looking at a fat bike or a gravel bike. This: Or this: Or this: I await your expert opinions.
  15. I think you are incorrect. The average fan thinks Lance won 7 Tours.
  16. I see your boy Pogacar was unhappy about all this on the tweeter yesterday.
  17. I'd be more concerned about the increase you will have in fuel consumption by leaving those on your roof all the time. Petrol is *** expensive.
  18. What does that mean? La Doyenne is the oldest and probably toughest of the classics. Since 1892, a true monument in every sense of the word.
  19. Promise, my 10/10 is not the same as yours and not the same as the next guy. Maybe this guy was going that fast, and was still within his limit? Maybe he was just having fun, like we sometimes do on two wheels?
  20. Other people here would label you as "selfish and reckless".
  21. Nevermind. We'll all just ride super slowly from now on, and if anything ever happens, we will take full blame upon ourselves for the reckless and selfish action of being on two wheels. Actually it's not right that you lot want to blame a guy for enjoying the same sport you do and having an accident. I guess with your godlike abilities you never fell off. The rest of us are probably simple mortals.
  22. You are aware that accidents happen? Who are you to say he was over his limit? It is quite possible that he was going at your suggested (again, who are you to dictate) 80% and something happened accidentally?
  23. Pidcock's broken shoe. BTW, is he going to have to learn the lesson the hard way when it comes to wearing gloves?
  24. I feel sorry for Pidcock though. Gonna be pipped by a different Visma rider. Roglic wont make the mistake of letting him sit his wheel in the last km.
