  1. That colour matching seatpost clamp took it from Ferrari to tappit instantly.
  2. What piffle. Like you can't kill ants with Doom labled "flying insect killer"... I run a Fizik Thar on my road race bike...
  3. Armstrong's hatred of the UCI makes more and more sense. When Radioshack changed their kit to all black, also unregistered, each rider was fined 1000 euro, the two directors fined 2000 euro and JB given a two (or was it six) month ban. Why does the UCI apply rules so haphazardly? Like the sprint line deviation thing. Seems like they are run by the same people that run SA's government, just looking to garb money without adding any value.
  4. You'll struggle to find a new one, look out for a used. Or, the Aliante Gamma is pretty similar, and you can get a new one.
  5. Ross Tucker was a grad student under Tim Noakes at one point, and although they had a falling out over the whole carb vs low carb thing and don't speak to one another anymore, and I agree with Tucker that Noakes' carb rant is garbage, Noakes did a lot of good work across sport. Also, if you read all 4 parts of the hydration post on Science of Sport, they don't reference any of Noakes' works. What I mean is just because Noakes shat the bed on the whole carb issue, doesn't mean you have to throw out the baby with the bath water.
  6. Prof Ross Tucker is very smart. https://sportsscientists.com/2007/10/fluid-intake-dehydration-and-exercise-part-i-history-of-fluid-intake-and-a-conflict-of-interest/
  7. Wooo Hooo! MTB sold. I be rolling in that popcorn money now...
  8. I might fill up the bottle on the ride home after the race, when I stop for Russian and chips in Irene.
  9. Huh? It's a 1x 500ml bottle and one gel ride at best.
  10. That, and when council repair a water leak, they don't bury the repair back at 1500mm or more as they are supposed. So when we merrily are trenching along at 600mm not expecting anythig we hit their repairs. Of course some municipalities are worse than others for shoddy work like this.
  11. Yeah. Pozzovivo just needs to do a maincheese.
  12. Colnago do a lot of things very, very right. This frame is not one of those things.
  13. Worst fibre network in the country. You'd be better off with smoke signals.
  14. with 12-19? I think I can dig out some old 8spd cassettes.
  15. Today my bike inadvertently took me to a comedy show. I needed to replace the DRL bulbs in my Peugeot - naturally a dealer only item. So I pop in during my ride. R2900.00 for the pair. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. Now off to google and find a sane solution somewhere.
  16. But, that's TT Connect, isn't it?
  17. Oddly enough, what I'm buying next, the cheapest is new at cyclelab...
  18. Weetbix keeps me regular. I don't like the taste of all bran flakes.
  19. Pffftttt! 39/53 and 11/21 for me thanks. I do feel old though I just changed my training wheel's cassette to a 12/25...
  20. Ride your bike...
  21. Have you seen the price of popcorn lately?
  22. Not currently, but I have two bikes for sale in the classifieds, so hopefully I can get some popcorn money soon.
  23. The only difficulty will be finding a 52. Most common is a 53 these days, I'd assume most places only have stock of 53's.
