  1. 2015 Smuggler is my bike... Trance29 is my realistic dream bike! SB130 is my pipe dream bike <3
  2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=480&v=PaBix1n43sk Not the most exciting racing...
  3. It's a paid DLC subscription from the app store. Have you even met 2019?
  4. That was just known as mechanical doping not so long ago...
  5. Soon we will need Flir again! http://cycling.today/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/Mechanical-doping-compressor.jpg
  6. Hahaha yeah! Whenever someone flies past me now it's always a quick look at the bike to see if that's the reason. In the past the reason was far easier to spot. It was a quick look down at myself
  7. They really are becoming very very sexy bikes! Where is the dropper lever on that Evo? Will it be the left shifter?
  8. #MakingModderGreatAgain! If you are on Facebook you may have seen the post "If you have any REALISTIC suggestions please email them to me on charnelle@ttce.co.za and we will see if they fit into the plans"
  9. Yeah I did the ruins today! There was a fairly large group of others that did it as well. If you want a group ride we can talk during some beers at Over the Moon this Wednesday
  10. Not useless at all!!! I would love to do a factory tour of the plant one day.
  11. Okay so if you have never been to the ruins... Follow red and end up at (A) on my map. You do the river section (up the creek, Red path on the map). After the river section, (A) don't cross the tar road. Follow black arrows with red borders, over the rocks and all that jazz (in orange on the map). There are other colour borders but i'm not sure if they reach the promised land. You will come across (B), the black arrow with white border. This takes you to the ruins and out of the Modderfontein reserve into the old factory. Can be tricky to navigate in there at one or two points as it's hardly ridden. We change that! Enjoy the Ruins of Mordor!
  12. https://www.strava.com/segments/20145124 The segment in question. Take a look on satellite view!
  13. When you are by the red river section, follow the red/black arrows, it goes over the rocks and some dreaded grass. You will see a white/black arrow. Follow that! It is unreal... tight and twisty through the old dynamite mine, up concrete ramps, through old buildings, walkways, dense bush, all just incredible!
  14. This is in the old dynamite factory. I think the arrow is black with a white border.
  15. There is plenty maintenance happening at modders! Take a look at this bit of ruins? I don't see many people riding that side and it's really special. Real post-apocalyptic Jurassic park vibes. If more people rode these trails, the less grass there would be for people to bitch about.
  16. Yeah! Last year I made a wrong turn on the monster decent and bombed down what I can only assume was an ancient hiking trail. That was me stuffed for the rest of the race... EDIT: The wrong turn in particular, don't do it!
  17. It's an incredible race, you won't be disappointed (maybe disappointed in your legs) If anyone still wants to enter this is from Stillwaters FB page: We will be taking a limited amount of late entries at the 2019 FNB Magalies Monster MTB Classic due to popular demand. For more information on how to enter please contact entries@stillwatersports.com
  18. Never heard of that section, and I know no matter what tyres I put on that I will ever be on that list anyway! Goodyear tyres look really awesome and I want to try the Escape one day.
  19. I have DHF front and Ikon back. Weird combo (I don't enduro) but I got the DHF at a song to replace an Ardent up front. Swap the rear out and see from there. My bike still rolls plenty fast for marathon races and I have immense trust in my front for everything else. Great suggestion! My wife has Aggressor front and Ikon back
  20. If I had to go back to a camelbak it would be this one! https://www.onedayonly.co.za/chase-mountain-bike-vest-2.html
  21. I would say trail bike. Do you want to hurt on the uphills or the downhills? I would rather my legs suffer a bit more every climb and have a bit more bike for when I run out of talent. The only chance I ever have at a podium are fun races when everyone assumes it will be rained out and I enter the distance one up from the push bike ride.
