I had a hassle and was quoted a stupid price to fix and next thing a call to come and collect a new unit for free ... i was gop smacked as this does not happen often.

I totally agree with wheels .. no way I am going to support a guy who has not paid all his debts. BUT the question is .. How will we really know and we cannot judge on hear say ...

No issue if the person swaps at the start of a race. Not fair if the rider swops because they are tired during a race ... then DNF

I am using the Geax Saguaro XC Tyre's and have seen my butt twice now in the past weeks when the ground is a little wet and muddy. What duel purpose tyre do you recommend and must it be a 2.0 or 2.2 size.. thx miggies212009-08-02 07:10:09

This is a parent issue and not for the PPA to make the call ... my 8 year old did the race in 47 minutes with no hassle ... parents need to be considerate of the others around them and not push the kids behond they can handle. Maybe a 5km kiddie loop would also help.

this is horrible .... i moved back to SA as I love this place, but this sort of thing really makes one ask ... was it worth it

I have the Garmin Edge 705 after having the S725x .... nothing in it really except the Edge is more of a "gadget". It is nice having the GPS and tracking is great. I would buy a Garmin again..

Totally agree that distibution sucks ... local LBS has sent several emails requesting delivery with no luck. Will not sihn up yet as I want to see if it worth yet ...

Hi ... I had a tumble this past weekend and scratched my Garmin badly on the face. No other problems. The quote is R2200 place vat as Garmin does not repair this in SA. This is not fair. They say they will give me a new unit, but I do want a new unit just a screen replaced at a reasonable fee. Why buy a brand name and not be able to have it fixed in SA. Please can someone give me a contact name of someone at Garmin who will listern as the techie is not helping much. Thx
