  1. i've currently received great service from Dialdbike... looked for assistance initially, with dialdbike customer support... things got a bit.... i immediately received a follow up e-mail from Andrew Backstrom. things just when smoothly from there. thanks a lot Andrew and to the rest of the team as well. Even though i did not purchase anything this time i rate dialdbike service very highly, and will definitely use you guys in future.
  2. Kuys, when a fuel EXs' BB is raised, does it negatively affect handling in both ascent and descent situations? i weigh 57kg, and eating my vegetables to help me grow a lil bit beeggGER. i don't know which type of riding i do anymore - but i think the best way to describe my riding is up and down the mountain, riding trails as aggressively as i can. (probably not half as aggressive as most in this thread)
  3. They still dont have stock, i enquired about the bronsons... got nothing. i am waiting for the new shipment of Spank rims coming mid-december 2013.
  4. is there a 2.35 size available, or is the next available size 2.4? in terms of longevity how would you rate you NN?
  5. How do you find the NN in the front? which version NN do you have?
  6. Could you elaborate a bit on why you say this gummibear?
  7. That was exactly my thoughts, the geometry is pretty much the same...
  8. Trek says its not advisable and would void any warranties since it would stress the head tube etc.
  9. having a bit of difficulty with this one, What's ya'll guys thoughts on slapping a 150mm fork on a single track/ trail / Aggressive XC rig which has a headtube angle of 68deg. and with sag is 66.9deg. or should i be in another thread.....
  10. Okay im in! Just received my confirmation, hope my bike is back from the bike shop before race day..
  11. K... Cant say i understand completely but i will go searching. is it open to the public or is it in restricted members only territory?
  12. Where about is this? is it near the start of the black route descent, or further down the trail closer to the trig beacon side?
  13. Just for what its worth.... Evanscycles has the MK II protect 2.4 for +/- R542 and the X-king Pro 2.4 for R507, thats the cheapest i could find. Didnt check a chance to check the Maxxis range yet.
  14. Yeah didnt wanna get too technical i saw on the Maxxis website the various compunds and stuff. with increase in technology on the tyre, so does the price increase. (i did notice there Tpi description did not make sense to me at all, but ya whateva..)
  15. exactly my thoughts... gotta be specific to Western Cape terrain and aggregate. will def. Look out for the UST version
  16. DH F&R - i was on their website and couldn't find the details, so didnt want to assume. Rather ask the Pro's on the Hub. i see they come in EXO - seems pretty much similar to conti's ProTection stuff, if not better. I never used either before.. currently running the stock stuff "Bontrager jones XR", so i guess anything will be better than my current stuff.
  17. Due to the high continental prices are the Maxxis minion DHF and DHR downhill specific tyres? how do they compare to the Conti MK II protection, anyone tried comparing before?
  18. +1 deviate like.... will we maybe be getting a schedule or register of route descriptions in advance? something that states elevation gain/loss; lliason, SS and shuttle points etc. probably wishful thinking i suppose...
  19. that sounds nice... its like erhhmmm whats that trail called which ends where the new mamba starts? cobra or something. thats kindv like the terrain here in the Overberg region, sharp rocks, very rugged and hard to remain seated. so when and where are the pro's training on saturday morning?
