  1. When will the first batch come into the country? And what will the approximate price be for the components?
  2. Just need to fit these now. All braided lines, brake and gear.
  3. Thanks. Never liked those cooking utencils, but the parts that I did get are great. Nice and light and stiff.
  4. Just got the new bike and added the following, Handlebar Stem Seat post Garmin 810 And 1 x 10 conversion Thought I'd just put pics if all my latest purchases, if that's ok.
  5. Got this beauty on Saturday and did my first race with her on Sunday. What a nice ride!
  6. Thanks mate, I got the polarized and Photochromic lenses with it. Gonna take them out for the first ride tomorrow. Can't wait!
  7. Not sure how that will work, hopefully they can still supply older models. I got this Racing Jacket because of the frame color, and it's the new range, you can't get it in RSA.
  8. Hi everyone, I hope this is the right forum because I'm not ranting, I'm raving. I've been looking for a specific pair of Oakleys for a while now, but all the local shops told me that it's discontinued... So I went on the hunt for a helping hand. That's when I got a reply from Marnitz at Chris Willemse Cycles in Willowbridge. He was the first person to offer some sort of help, and it turned out to be the helping hand that I was looking for. Anyway, before I carry on too much, I just wanted to let everyone know that if you want to order a specific model of Oakleys, contact Marnitz, marnitz@cwcycles.co.za. All you need to do is go to http://ie.oakley.com/custom/ , at this link you can chose your model and then custom fit it as you like, you can chose color if the frame, two types of lenses and even the color of the Oakley badge. This option is not normally available in South Africa but Marnitz will send the info directly to Italy for you and place order. It's even cheaper than buying it in SA. It took a few weeks, which was the only down point, but when it arrived it made up for it. So, if you're looking for some awesome shades, go to the link, chose your options, take a screen print of the outcome and send it to Marnitz. He will then get a quote for you to confirm. So that's my rave, Marnitz was very helpful and replied almost instantly to all my emails. I will be using him again soon, so hopefully that's a good sign to anyone else. Cheers, Lance PS. In case you were wondering, I'm not getting a cut of his sales from posting this, just feel like its rare that you get someone this helpful and willing to go the extra mile these days. These are my new shades,
  9. Is there a rider weight limit for these rims?
  10. Hi guys, I'm thinking about trying to sell my bike to get money together for a new bike. I know there a lot of guys on The Hub that know all there is to know about bikes, so what would you guys recommend I put as a selling price. The bike is one of the best looked after bikes that you will find. Serviced and washed after every race and training sessions, there are not many scratches on it and she has only done 870 kms. The Mavic wheels and tubeless tyres are pretty much brand new, and they have done about 150kms. The only things that have been replaced are the chain and brake pads, everything else is still as good as new. I will include a water bottle cage, wireless sigma computer and Shimano clipless pedals. Please let me know what you guys think? Cheers, Lance
  11. Good morning all , Sorry to jump in on this thread, but I need some help before I buy the wrong items on the internet. It's such a mission getting the stuff swapped out if it's the wrong stuff.... I'm looking at ordering a few goodies from CRC, ie. Hubs, spokes, rims etc. Things to build some wheels. I've attached a screenshot of my basket so far. My biggest worry is the rear hub, will I be able to run a 10 speed cassette on the Hope Pro 2 Evo hub? I have a Scott 40 with the 30 speed groupo. Also, which cassette is better? Should I get another SLX, or is there another option? Last 2 questions, which rims and tubeless tyres will fit nicely with these items? I weigh 90kgs and do mostly trail riding and races like Karkloof. I don't want to go over R5000 and I still need to add the price of the cassette. I want these wheels to be my racing wheels, so they must be nice and light, but not break the bank. Thanks a lot for the help, Cheers, Lance Basket.bmp
  12. Good morning guys, Sorry to jump in on this topic, but I have something else that sounds similar. When I do a long ride I loose the feeling in my toes, and sometimes it also feels like pins and needles in the tip of my toes. Is this also a nerve problem, or could it be my shoes? I was thinking it might be the position of my cleats and that the blood flow is getting cut off. Please let me know what you think? Thanks, Lance
