  1. Holla trails Holla trails
  2. Some more Giba niceness
  3. Yup, just wish the guys would get around to trimming all the trails, got a few wacks on the helmet from low hanging branches. It's a big area, so we'll give them some time [emoji4]
  4. Giba Gorge, so much of niceness.
  5. I'll look over the steps again and see if I'll take a chance tomorrow, don't really feel like riding 40 kms against the brake... And it'll wear the brakes down all the way, I'm sure. Bleeding the brake is fine, but would I be able to do it without removing the hose? That will save some time.
  6. Just a quick question. I just realised that my rear brake is doing the exact same thing as explained above. I have a race on Sunday and don't want to take a chance by following these steps for the first time and not being able to fix the problem so close to the ride. If I leave it like this for now do I run the risk of not having brakes during the ride?
  7. Any idea where I can get raw, unpasteurised milk? I'm in the Durban area, not too many Co Ops around here... Also, is it safe to get a Kefir plant sent to me by courier? How does it handle the trip? Any specific ways to pack it? Sorry for all the questions, just very interested in this product.
  8. Will this affect the Trailblazer ride in December?
  9. Courier just collected these, hopefully haev it all on Monday/Tuesday :-) 11 - 42 and 32 up front. Bringing back my granny gear!!
  10. Been thinking about the viability of changing from my Edge 810 to the 520... I like the size of the 520. Anyone have first hand experience of how they compare?
  11. Thanks, didn't know I could do that. Will do so now.
  12. I've also just had an experience with a guy that said he wanted to look at my wheelset that I'm trying to sell. We met and he looked at them, he made up his mind on the spot and said he'll take them. I had to meet him later because he wanted to get cash first from the ATM, no problem. Later came and before I could leave home he phoned me and came up with some BS about his card only being able to withdraw R2000, even when the wheels are for sale for R2000. Ok, maybe he needs bus fare or something... All good. The next day he made up some excuse not to meet, and the next day I had to contact him to find out where/when we would meet. Then he tells me that he got another wheel, very sorry. Three days later he backs out of the deal. It's only R2k, but its the principal of the matter. I gave hime a negative comment and he came back with a negative comment on me. So now it shows on my score, even though he backed out on the deal. What now, is it worth making a comment after all when it reflects bad on you in the end even if it's not your wrong doing?
  13. Thanks. No multi plug just yet, I have a solid metal work bench where I do all my cutting and drilling, the multi plug is on that. The vise grip for those pesky pedals is on the other bench too :-)
  14. Thanks for the advise, the one hanging is an old a one that I just didn't want to throw away because it still works ok. The new one is stored in the blue box on the top shelf with plunger removed and in a zip lock bag
  15. Ok, I didn't buy this but I did buy the aluminium, wood and wheels to build it. Now I can work a lot easier in the garage on my bike!
  16. That's what I like about the look of it, it's got a nice clean look when in watch mode, especially the sapphire with the metal strap. Will go check it out at Sportsmans later. Would you mind measuring the face please? I cant get dimensions for it. Last question, what does the performer bundle come with? Do you have to buy the heart rate strap and speed/cadence sensors separately?
  17. Is it quite a big watch? Would it be ok as an all day, every day watch?
  18. Just manage to find the time to fit my new brake hoses and gear cables. It was quite easy as everything is very well made. Nice thing is that I could measure everything and make it nice and tidy.
  19. Thanks for the explanation, I'm a lot closer to buying a set now, just waiting for EVO to get new stock in. Cheers!
  20. Does the wider foot print of the tyre on the ground not add more rolling resistance?
  21. Arrived this morning, and just finished a friendly 30km ride with them. Loving the carbon soles, and they sit so nice and snug. Just need to wear in now around my ankles and I'm sure I'll have many an enjoyable mile in them :-) Edit : Thanks a lot for the great deal on these CWC. Great service as always!
  22. Will do, just haven't had the time to do it yet. The gear cables should be strait forward, just hope the hoses come with all the right fittings...
  23. One question, will the new crank fit in a BB which currently is on my bike? I have the current model of XT Crank on my bike.
