  1. Hi.. considering the latest price increase to $19.95/month or $189.95/year i.e. approximately R300/month or R2900 a year given the current exchange rate. Do you think TrainerRoad is still worth it?
  2. Thanks HdB, I'll give it a shot tonight. Just a thought, is it at possible to pair Garmin head unit (520 in my case) with the Zwift android app? Effectively using the Garmin head unit as a link between the ANT+ sensors and then pair with Zwift via bluetooth?
  3. I have a Stages powermeter which also doubles as a cadence sensor, I know the PM transmits ANT+ and bluetooth, unfortunately the powermeter battery decided to die tonight so I'll have to replace the battery to check if the PM pairs with the Zwift android app. If I cannot get the PM to pair via bluetooth, will the 4iiii HRM be able to act as a link between the android app and the PM?
  4. Hi guys, I hope this is the right section for this post. I just took delivery of a Wahoo Kicker Core. I was hoping to use my Garmin HRM to pair with the Zwift Android app on my Galaxy S9+. I managed to do this successfully with Trainerroad but cant seem to get my ANT+ Garmin HRM to pair with Zwift. Has anybody else encountered this and is there a work around?
  5. Any idea on group start times for tomorrow?

  7. Anybody encounter this error prompt?
  8. Anybody in Cape town try this yet and which engineering shop did you use? Did I hear correct that when going from Shimano 10speed to 11speed yoh only need 0.8mm?
  9. Hi guys, thought I'll revive this thread. I've got Zipp303's with 188 V7 hubs, black hubs with red end caps. I want to do a 11 speed conversion, what's the best way to go about it?
  10. So same thread pattern, just a thicker side wall and different compound rubber perhaps? I'm not sure how common side wall cuts are on the Vittoria's, to date I have not suffered a single side wall cut(fingers-crossed)
  11. Hi I am shopping for a new set of 29 MTB tyres, my current set-up is Vittoria Barzo front and Saguaro rear. This set-up worked well for me and I was about to invest in another set but then I saw they are now available in a "Cape Cobra" version. Anybody have any experience with the Cape Cobra's? How are they different from the standard TNT Vittorias and are they worth an extra R100 per tyre?
  12. Thanks for the tip, I usually just use gels and a carbo drink for road races. Think I'll pack an extra energy bar and a banana
  13. Hi Hubbers, did my first mtb ride about three weeks ago, have hit the trails every weekend since and loving it. I entered the 40km route. The river crossing does sound like fun, but I am a bit concerned about my phone and Garmin. Are there any tips for someone who has done only road races thus far, how do you guys prepare for it, things to be wary of or to look out for etc?
  14. wasn't so much the engine as it was indecision as to whether or not I should pedal over that obstacle or not. Took too long to make my mind up and bang! Down he goes
  15. So I ended up at Tokai. I am from the south so this is probably where I will be doing most of my rides. I had a friend who has been in the sport for about 4 years show me the ropes. We started from the car park and went up along the jeep track to Silvermine's boom gate where we turned around and did some single track on the way down. I have never concentrated so hard on a descend, the "fast" descend on the jeep track and the technicalities of the single track really got the adrenalin pumping. I did have 2 "oopsies" though. Went over the bars once but nothing serious at all, the fall damaged nothing but my ego. Then somewhere in Faerie garden just before the bridge I went down again because the bike stalled and I couldn't uncleat in time So the ego was damaged a little more and I left some skin behind. All in all it was an awesome day out, very exhilarating, I feel like I am learning to ride a bike again. The forest at sunrise is an absolutely amazing place to be. I cant wait to do it again!!!
