Porsche has unveiled the new 935 on the occasion of the historic “Rennsport Reunion” motorsport event at Laguna Seca Raceway in California. The 515 kW (700 hp) racer featuring a body reminiscent of the legendary Porsche 935/78 will be produced in a limited number of 77 units. “This spectacular car is a birthday present from Porsche Motorsport to fans all over the world,” says Dr Frank-Steffen Walliser, Vice President Motorsport and GT Cars. “Because the car isn’t homologated, engineers and designers didn’t have to follow the usual rules and thus had freedom in the development.”

Maxxis Rambler Silk Shield 700 x 40c (38mm when you measure it). Was able to ride 5000km before i replaced it with the same. Always made sure i replaced the sealant with fresh sealant before a big race and pump the front and rear to 2 PSI (i weigh 87kg) and super impressed and happy with the Ramblers. Have done Karoobaix, Cederberg100Race, Swartberg100, just to name a few without any punctures or sidewall cuts.

What an event, well organized, well stock water points, marshals and Metro Police did an excellent job. It was hard and i started feeling symptoms of flue coming down on me the night or two before the event, just tried to keep my HR as low as possible on the day. There was a stretch on the route aptly named ‘joumase’ on Strava that really tested all the riders which was corrugated (made crater cruise seem like a freshly grated gravel road compared), with thick sand, headwind and uphill for miles. The last 10km was the hardest ever for me on my trusty Ritchey P-29er mtb, but at the end gulping down plenty free Bavarians and a lekker boerewors roll made it all worth the effort. The Lasiodora klugi is a tarantula endemic to Brazil. Its common name refers to the state of Bahia. The species grows from 8 to 10 inches in size and looks similar to Lasiodora parahybana.
