  1. Some gopro footage of the 50 km. You never know, perhaps you recognize yourself or someone you know. Edit: We started in P, haven't entered any events in years so we started way back. Was an awesome route, especially after Saturdays mudfest which made it nice n smooth for us on the day. Suffered like a donkey, every rider infront was a big juicy carrot.
  2. About two years ago I rode from McGregor to the top of Galgeberg and then let the Gopro run from the top all the way back into McGregor. Loved it!
  3. Times like these we need Big H, he is/was mos a pad builder and knows all the ins-and-outs when comes to padwerke and sorts.
  4. I would think there are many sections on the national roads network that you are allowed to ride or walk or jog, where the speed limit is reduced where signage is displayed and where you pass through a town or something. A lot of the signs get stolen and does not get replaced anymore, but these signs should be placed at the start and end which informs you that only vehicles or motorcycles above or equal to 150 cc will be allow. I asume there is some kind of record of these marked areas of some kind kept up to date somewhere?

  10. New Tdf of gravel biking. Tdf of Mtb also started in Knysna. How things have changed. Déjà vu
  11. There was no commentary during ladies xco, but we have for mens 🤷🏼‍♂️
  12. Agreed. They have to think of ways to reduce costs as a business and turn a profit. It’s still epic for our international guests racing the pro’s on our local trails. Also to compare 8 days of racing as hard as 3 weeks of the TdF is just plain silly, but that’s just plain old marketing hype that will never go away. Epic is still bloody hard and you need to spend at least 10 hours a week in the saddle for a couple of months before the event to make it enjoyable and able to remember the experience. Also helps to have partner not stronger than you. Us locals are not getting bang for our buck so to speak anymore. The majority of South Africans would not want to spend a R117k to ride 8 days of these trails back-to-back. Can think of much better epic ways to spend my hard earned cash to be honest, but i will NEVER say no to a free entry though.
