    Discussing so many Huge crashes, 11:30 min in the video, Daniel Lloyd recons they should make the bikes deliberately slower 😂 Please don’t!!

    Geared, and depending on the total ascent for the distance you plan to ride i would suggest 10 to 20 km to start with and steadily increase it depending on how you feel + how well you recover. But, there are many many many more factors that can influence this e.g. your age, weight, diet, fitness, weather, etc. just to name a few…

    My Niner still feel too much like a mtb (and it does not look so lekker) compared to my Ritchey SwissCross, so i will be converting it back to mtb later which was awesome…

    The REAL heroes are the ones who stay in those little ABSA tents every night, rain or shine, without any massages and make it to the end 🍻In my case i would prefer an airbnb and someone running around doing everything for me after a hard day in the saddle 😇

    Alex Miller rolled off the starting line this morning on stage 5 and pulled out so that his partner Johan van Zyl can continue today. Relieved he did not partner up with Beers.

It was one of 2 bikes that got stolen. Bloody thugs That could have been the tipping point.

    Isn't the rule of thumb or the so called trail etiquette state that riders riding downhill should yield to the ones heading uphill, unless the trail is clearly signed for one-way or downhill-only traffic...O ja, and use your bell to warn others...🤫
