Valencia, Spain - New MotoGP world champion Jorge Lorenzo has accused Yamaha team-mate Valentino Rossi of sour grapes after Sunday's deciding race in Valencia, saying the Italian knows he will never win another title. http://www.iol.co.za/motoring/motorsport/rossi-knows-he-s-past-it-lorenzo-1.1943061 Wat 'n boks...

VR46 has nothing to gain in putting in good time, no matter what, he is starting at the back of the grid.

No one on that grid has as much experience as VR46, what he's forgotten they must still learn. Let's see what happens tomorrow, whatever the outcome, he is still the best motogp has ever seen and will ever see for a long long time. Take nothing away from him, he is legend.

World Championships / Grand Prix 10/29/2015 Open letter from FIM President Vito Ippolito http://www.fim-live.com/fileadmin/_processed_/csm_sc_2015-10-29_a_17.31.34_ca4ef61265.jpg The recent events arising in connection with the competition for the 2015 FIM MotoGP world title have had a damaging effect on the staging of our competitions and poisoned the atmosphere around the sport. We are moving away from the tradition of pride in sportsmanship that is part of the heritage of motorcycling. Everyone has the right to express his or her own ideas. But words and actions always have consequences. Every individual has to take responsibility for those consequences. The riders, first of all, must be aware of this. Each one of them has thousands of fans who follow their exploits on the track and listen to what they say off the track. For that reason, we look to them, not just in this Championship but in all our disciplines, to set the best example of what our sport should and aspires to be. This responsibility is also shared by the people who form their entourage, beginning with their teams and sponsors. Whatever the rights and wrongs of the matter, if some of those people unnecessarily fuel polemics about events or decisions in a wrongheaded way, they are doing a great disservice to the sport, to the detriment of our entire community and all the good things it offers to everyone. Riders, teams, manufacturers and sponsors should not only respect the rules but they should accept the decisions of the officials, whatever they may be. Otherwise, they are contributing to anarchy and undermining the future development of our sport. On behalf of the FIM and all those who are doing their best to bring about a happy conclusion to this Championship, I express the hope that at the next and final round in Valencia the riders will fight it out on the track and in a way that fully respects the spirit of fair play. Vito Ippolito FIM President

Don't forget the legandary Joey Dunlop as well at the IOM TT. Even a statue of him on the Island on his beloved VTR1000SP1 http://www.fonant.co.uk/arunadur/211008k.jpg Jip, won 3 IOM TT's if I'm not mistaken.

Neither of them should have been punished. Too many rules in MotoGP, same with F1. I'd much rather watch the road races e.g. the Isle of Man TT or North West 200 or the Ulster GP or Armoy Road Races or Macau Motorcycle GP or Southern 100, etc, If you go try bump someone off one of you will end up hitting road furniture at way over 100 miles an hour. The bumps in the roads, off camber corners, drain covers, leaves in the road, damp patches, just to name a few things they need to contend with, makes it much more exciting. MotoGP has become too bloooody clinical and commercialized for profit. Just my opinion.
  19. Lastly, subscribe to the local Tarantupedia YouTube channel, they make fantastic videos!

  21. I have over 60 different species (I'm not a breeder, just fascinated by them). I also have the most venomous ones (there are over 900 identified tarantula species in the world and none are deadly) e.g. the Featherleg baboon or Starbust baboon. I use Tarantupedia as reference for all my T's or the ones I want to get. Well, more specifically Tarantulas (T's) and to be tecnically correct, Theraphosidae. Saw many of them in the wild on trips in the bush when I was young, specifically the baboon species (Ceratogyrus). I started with one 6 years ago, when I bought my first, a Redrump as I always wanted a T and I was fascinated with it. I bought a sling (short for spiderling) and wanted to see how it grows as I feed it. I also knew from the beginning that it's a responibilty I have to be prepared to follow through as you need to feed it, provide the correct environment with regard to temperature and caging as well as clean water. I also bought a book, what people in the hobby refer to as the "tarantula bible", The Tarantula Keeper's Guide http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51tsHWv2PcL._SX383_BO1,204,203,200_.jpg After a few months I bought another one. Then I start going to the Exotic reptile and pet expo's and there it just went pear-shaped. I was learning so much from the book that I want to see for myself. Now, what is it that fascinates me so much? Well, believe it or not, they have personalities. You can have e.g. two of the exact same species, but they will be different, one you will be able to handle, the other you won't. To watch them molt every few months, this is when they literally squeeze out of their old skin (exuviae) as they are growing, is liking watching the T giving birth to itself each time and then end up being bigger. How they hunt and the speed. The different ways differnt species hunt and stalk the prey is breathtaking. How they feed, spinning a feeding net/plate as they circle around. They way they build nests and borrows with the many types from different species. The mating rituals of different species and the tappings on the glass of the males to attract the females or the tapping in front of the burrow of the female, also being very careful not to be eaten by the much larger female. The special hook like body parts of males to hold the female's fangs at bay. I also enjoy building my own cages to house all my T's out of acrylic due to the many better qualities it has compared to glass. Trarantula females can live from 6 to 25 years, where males only 5 to 10 years. Then there's the old world T's and the new world T's and how they defend themselves. Bellow youtube video is from a breeder: There's plenty of fascinating things I can go on and on about to no end, best to go online or to follow this awesome link as a start: Take a unique journey inside the body of a giant tarantula, to see how it moves, breathes, hunts, eats and defends itself EDIT: above link seems not to be working
