Mechanic loaned me his Basso to kick around for a few weeks while we wait for a shipment. 40km ride on a lovely spring morning. Steel is real!

-2C AM Start, Snow has melted and things are warming up. That wind chill is still razor sharp.

First group ride of 2021. I was so excited to be out I forgot to take pictures. That and it was too cold to stop and we were dodging ice on the road.

My Mechanic is a wizard! Quote: "Watch what happens when Van Aert tries to climb with the Cervelo, he is going to fall back!"

I have seen a few 8 balls flushed but nothing like this!

I don't gap shoot like the picture shows. I shoot three under with the index finger under the nock and hooked in the corner of my mouth. Like this

My fingers still hurt after three months of shooting regularly. But everything else feels good and strong. I probably just need to get better finger tabs.

Those look amazing. I am looking at getting Toelke Longbow when I have $1200 lying around.

Yip, I can hit a slow moving target about the size of a paper plate at 15Yards.

I am learning to shoot instinctively (No sites). My aim is to a bare minimum bow that doesn't require tinkering in the field. I will alway carry a spare string and bow wax on trips but that is it. Much like cycling the more part you have the more that can go wrong. It is very rewarding to hit the target and get a tight group with no sites.
