  1. I too will support Sportsworld without a doubt, had great service from Mr & Mrs Shaw, and Dennis assisted me with great deal of enthusiasm when I needed a quotation from him regarding cycling jerseys for a team. Great people, great service
  2. Epically twisted
  3. Entered, half marathon for me and my friend, whoop whoop. Where can I find the route profile?
  4. I fear that the emerald area may become a hotspot,I noted that there is a increased nr of suspicious characters in that veld. Good luck with the recovery.
  5. Can't wait, as far as I understand, one or 2 venues/routes changed, and I hope they stay with the 10min intervals between batches.
  6. www.fullrip.net . Just type idt videos in the search box,and download the best quality vid available.
  7. Wife free starting 2014,must say it imroved my cycling, lmao
  8. I couldn't find the qoute button on that one
  9. All this attention for a fake bike! I wonder if all you "Fake Bike "Activitists" out there put this much effort into bigger issues like the state of our roads, corruption, etolls, rape, farm murders, the secrecy bill, the state of our nation etc. or are you silent and complacent on these issues." Dumn-ass
  10. Heard the story on 94.7 this morning. To all parties involved in the exposure of the shop, good work, and I hope that the people who got sold fakes, get reimbursed.
  11. Little bit off topic, regarding the ztr rims, who had any problems with the dirty flea hubs?
  12. This is where bravery meets dumn-ass
  13. Ja,got the mail that they are going back, and I hope that the service will be just as good.
  14. I wish to thank Stephen and Arlene Shaw from Sportsworld for awesome service received. I bought items from their online shop, and the goods were delivered within a week, properly packaged and received in good order. The quality of products being sold are very good, and I will definitely be buying from them again.
  15. My personal opinion, rather replace the swing arm if possible, because the following scenarios may come to play -That may be a weakpoint on your frame if repaired, and may possibly break again, and you may get injured. -You may always doubt the integrity of the repair, and instead of concentrating fully on technique and trail, the repaired area will always be on your mind, thus holding you back.
  16. Holy crap,no I did not want a "freebie".
  17. Believe it,it is true. I will post pics as soon as its done, along with the invoice. Clarification on the rotor,it is not a Xt rotor as far as I understand, but a shimano centrelock rotor.(will confirm model)
  18. Shop B is Saley's cycles in vereeniging, happy with the service I receive. As I said, maybe I go there on a bad time/did not get that good/wow experience, but up to now,not happy with vaal metro. So rant over, got what I wanted, smiling again to ride another day (next week, lol). Thanx for everybody's input, always trying to keep a argument healthy, and positive. Eveybody enjoy the long weekend, for those travelling,be safe on the roads, and for the riders racing, keep the rubber on the gravel/tar,and have fun.
  19. Now here is a quote that I can accept,Shimano Xt rear hub, centrelock R700,for the disc,R160. When I asked for the labour and wheelbuild,I was told "unless you can do it,lol,we will gladly do it for you, seeing that you will need to buy the components from us". All components are new,and service was great. Rant for shop A,rave for shop B
  20. On the m475 hub, that is why I personally like it,and like to get it again on my training rim.
  21. Comments understood, I raised this in my personal experience and opinion. If I misunderstood something at some point,my bad. The only thing I wanted,is the hub to be replaced,at a reasonable price and service. Just for a little bit of background,on a previous occasion I needed to buy a usb cable for a Giant neos pro bike comp, they phoned around, said they could get the item, and would phone me,but never phoned me. Glad everybody else received good service from them,I only received questionable service.
  22. And the prices were for the hub only.
  23. Regarding the wheel build,I did not expect it to be free,if I could do it myself,I would have, but I cannot. So in terms of that, service=sales,no probs. I am willing to pay for something I want, and yes, quality do cost money,my main gripe was the fact that the wheel was shuffed back to me,and told to get the item then at another place/shop. I know the history of the shop,of the father, starting the business long ago ect, just didn't expect THAT kind of treatment.
  24. Not happy at all about the service and attempted ripp-off I received today at the said shop, being close to where I stay, went to them with the intention of buying a new rear hub for my MTB (Merida 1-20 1500). Not wanting to dish out too much on the training wheels (Alex rims) I requested a price on a suitable replacement hub. Firstly the salesman tried to sell me a cheap chinese hub (giving a wow story about the sealed bearing factor) for close to R500. I asked for a shimano m-475 (being an entry level hub, suitable for training),I'm being told that the hub would cost me anything from R700 upwards. Now I know it being their shop,I politely told the salesman (really I did) that that is the going price for a Deore quality hub. He then inpolitely shuffed the wheel into my hand, and told me to go get the hub at another shop then. Oh,and apart from buying the hub,I would be charged a extra hefty amount for labour, and the rebuilding of the wheel. Yet another reason for going to a reputable shop in jhb area.
