I've been notified that the guy has spray painted the frame red with a can of spray paint. He lives in the RDP extension so wont be to safe for me to go in there and confront the guy, so I recon going to the cops might be my only option. Thanks for the reply guys.

Hope there is someone here that can give me a bit of information. The stolen bike has been spotted by some people that we asked to help look for it. They have a good idea as to who is in possession of the bike. What is my rights to go and take back the bike if I don't have any proof of ownership other than a few photo's. Should I contact the police to assist? Will I be getting myself in trouble if I confront the person, take the bike back? Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

My brother's GT Avalanche 0.5 has been stolen out of the garage over the weekend. It's a large frame, normal Yellow and silver of the Avalanche 0.5. Marcozzi fork and Scott saddle. Most component are LX except for the Truvativ FiveD crankset. It has 1 Alex DM24 rim and a Sycros's rim with Maxxis Crossmark tires on. Thats me on the bike at a race last year. Sorry, don't have a better photo. If you see it please let me know.

The quote should include all works that needs to be done and be clearly stated then no unhappiness would come when the customer receives the invoice. Would the R50 fitting cost at Solomons have included sealant?

Got the MTN Qhubeka kit thats Vermarc. My favorite kit at the moment.

From what I can see is they took a 1980's track bike and made it a singlespeed. Hope that answers your question.

I have Maxxis Monorail's on my XT rims with Stans in and without rim tape. Would you guys recommend that I put rim tape on?

That was my guess also. I wont go through the trouble to fit a slick for just one race.

I got into mountain biking about 10 months ago when a friend decided to upgrade to a 29er. He gave me his old 2005 GT Avalanche 0.5. So the bike cost me nothing at first but then the maintenance became necessary. I got new chainrings here on the thehub, had to replace the front derailer about 2 months in. Chain needed replacing the next month so had to replace the cassette aswell. Now the rear wheel hub started making all kinds of noises yesterday. Took it to bike shop today, luckily only needed to be serviced after the bike had a major service about 800km's ago. Hopefully that is the last time this bike eats into my savings for the new bike.
