But @ has under 30's in the group as well. Is & not the old ballies? the +30's? Also, if you look at the start chutes, @ is lined up right behind $ which indicates that there will be a group taking off after $, namely &?

It's odd that @ is starting before & this year even though the race day group layout indicates that & start before @. or am I missing something here?

they were international riders AFAIK. there was a blunder with their seeding. organisers corrected it before they took off and apologized for their mistake.

Site says it is the down ride this year. Was it not the down ride last year?

Agree. I also did the trailseeker marathon on Saturday and was great.

This event was a big mess again. Got lost last year several times and this year again. We were all over the place. Missing route markers at a few junctions messed up the whole race.

I see racetec messed up again. They got the winner in at 1h15min for the 60km. The first 7 should be removed.

You too was once an 'idiot' when starting to mtb. I started in A batch bone crusher and stuck to the front quarter and experienced no traffic or 'idiots' as you call them. Maybe you need to work on your fitness and up your seeding for this race. I personally liked the previous years route better. The timing was also messed. I know of some of my riding buddies time that was mistakenly slashed by 1 hour. They said that the time keeping guy shouted out 4hrs something instead of 5hrs something....

always love to support this event. Just a huge pity it's on the same day as the Tip Trans.

All I know is I got lime green sticker on my white board (bone crusher). I suspect it is A batch but not sure.

What is the seeding like? They indicated that it will be a,b,c,d etc but I didn't get a alphabet letter in my race pack

how is the camping site? electricity, ablution and braai facilities? shaded/open?

pity I also took that wrong turn-off and landed up hiking. about 10 min lost. last year if memory serves, signage was on point.
