nothing wrong with gs. I am running gs xtr with 11-50 sunrace and 34T ring. smooth shifting up and down.

pity I also took that wrong turn-off and landed up hiking. about 10 min lost. last year if memory serves, signage was on point.

what is you current gear ratio? what crank? if you go eagle you will need an xd driver and hopefully your can find one for your current rear hub. if you running 24/38 front coupled with a 11-36 back and 104BCD cranks then i would go 34T front chainring, XT 11spd derailleur and shifter with a 11-50 sunrace cassette. Will prob set you back R4K

i find it bazaar how many people I still see cycling past kayamandi....it's like leaving a piece of bread out on the lawn and expecting the birds not to eat it......It's very very sad but it's true....

Anyone know what happened on Saturday? there was a 60km/35km and 15km mtb race and a trail run. Every route was not marked and just about everyone got lost. apparently no medical services either. some guys were found on the tar road nearly in Worcester just trying to find their way back to the venue. No explanation from the organizers to date. Crazy i tell you especially since it was a PPA advertised event.

Also did the riebeek 60 yesterday knowing it was going to be congested today. Enjoyed the relaxed riding today. Anyone know who the guy was that fell and may have broken his leg? I stopped by him and cautioned other riders and the guy was in a lot of pain. His name is steven.hope he recovers fully soon.
