  1. This fred is making me feel like I'm lucky to get me rims on both my mtb's to seal with 2 layers of insulation tape and one layer of checkers brand duct tape cut down the middle. Oh....I use the round tapered valves and stans sealant.
  2. I am very glad I was available to pay tribute to Delene. The ride was well organised and panned out very well. lifetime strengths to her loved ones left behind.
  3. and by the time this cassette is kaput you will be stronger and ready to refit that 12-28 cassette.
  4. awareness is always good and i support it 100%, however, this is going to be seriously depressing. maybe it can be loaded on the NRA website (SANRAL). or will we be clocking up the mt bikers as well?
  5. you were maybe over trained or something bud. the group was nice and relaxed until the turn-off on the N7 going for Vissers'
  6. well done guys for all the great effort and planning going on. Yes,as Sku indicated that lots of guys and gals will be doing the CTCT mtb event the Sunday. Parking for the Saturday will surely not be a problem if we have an early start. I also feel that a bit of a busier day like Saturday will have a bigger impact for cycling safety awareness with many peeps out and about. Also, can we pretty please have a separate thread maybe called 'memorial ride for Gregory Basson......venue....date and time etc'? it will reflect more "personal" with his name attached. Alternatively maybe rename this thread to 'Gregory Basson cyclist down on Bot.......'
  7. i'll wheelsuck a gorgeous hen for a little while as long as she doesn't smell funky
  8. and if they were not there at all? the way i see it, they kinda do interfere with your ride/performance 'cause now you constantly looking back over your shoulder and cursing those suckers and not concentrating on the ride
  9. lol, yes you should feel guilty. those poor wheelsuckers are not affecting your ride or performance.
  10. had a chuckle when i read this. like the Afrikaans saying "die een man se dood is die ander se brood" or something to that effect. hope you heel-up 100's soon Rudi
  11. sometimes the distributor up the price for a crash replacement policy. just check that as well.
  12. Recycles in Bellville charged me R600 for wheel strip and rebuild . Are you sure it only cost R250?
  13. there are cars on those road as well. no roads are safe. however, those roads are somewhat less dangerous. be safe out there.
  14. big respect for your research. personally i think its foolish but then again i would also have thought the idea of banting was foolish years ago. not that i bant at all. maybe next time it will be better to do these experiments quietly and only after some results, whether negative or positive come and share it here on hubland. good luck bud.
  15. terrible terrible news. sincerely hope you make a full recovery Andrew.
  16. Had a training ride crash today. shouldn't have gone out riding 'cause was still very tired post Red Hill marathon of yesterday. Uuurrrggghhh!!! wrist sore, hand swollen, leg swollen, hip sore, helmet cracked, Oakley's stuffed, many, oh so many burning roasties and bike needs some major repairs. Other than that, I'm all good. Hope I can recover for this event.
