  1. Thanks man - we havne't officially met.
  2. Tough terrain but I'd say very clsoe the best MTB stage race in the country in terms of route and course marking. It was hard on a hardtail
  3. New route cuts out Van Schoors and heads for an extended stint on the N7. Interesting
  4. Good job man. You were the only other guy helping up front. Still remember: "Are we going to breakaway today?" We should have...
  5. That spinning windmill guy rides like that in every single race. He should just remove his big ring and shifter.
  6. No Pure Savage MTB DC team... Not enough riders. The Savages that MTB, ride road at DC
  7. Rawson - 6:33 Gemini - 6:27 6mins then Also know Mike Potton well too
  8. Think Rawson were beaten by 5min in 2015 and that's because they all stopped at the top of Tradouw to fix one of the rider's bikes... Think about that for moment. That said the Gemeni guys are awesome men - I know Neil personally and we've ridden many times together.
  9. One doesn't simply 'join' Pure Savage... Great bunch of guys - fast, committed and wicked humours. I think the key word is fast but then I'm not quite sure why I'm in the team...
  10. Of the two Savages that stayed in the bunch we got 23rd and 69th - 2h21. And yes, we beat the slower rider . We're just average okes trying to mix it up with the faster guys
  11. You'll no doubt pick up a few stragglers. Hopefully not me
  12. Yeah, try pass us at DC when we're going full tilt. You may blow a gasket...
  13. No it just looks ridiculous.
  14. Wearing baggies on a road bike is just plain moronic. Life sentence if I were president ;0
  15. My Kashima Fox 29er 100mm CTD did this. Had the CSU replaced 4 times which still didn't solve the issue. Cut my losses and sold it - got a RockShox instead. Bullet proof albeit the ride quality isn't as plush as the Fox
  16. Science2Sport changed the way I ride. Went from being semi-kind-of-competitive to competitive in a year and have even won a race as a result. First 6months I got my first two podiums. Went through a little plateau as I adjusted to the plan - a lot of going slow to go fast kind of stuff mixed with HIIT. This year has been phenomenal with a win, a second and three podiums in MTB discipline. You need to follow the plan religiously to see the benefits, which to me, means riding even if it's raining, storming or baking outside. Over time you develop a friendship with your coach and the one-on-one type of relationship the S2S coaches give their athletes is what keeps them satisfied and hungry for greater success. Commitment is the clincher here and if you can do this, the rest will follow.
  17. Ok I'm in. Hoping for $ group and 2:40-odd time - weather permitting
  18. I've still received nothing
  19. They did tell seeded riders to use their boards in race packs at registration. Was good for a change to have properly fit and skilled riders in the first start group
