I have a RECON 351 coil Spring fork on my bike. I have noticed recently that it is bottoming out (ie. compressing as far as it will) i have twiddled everything there is to twiddle which made no difference (I took note of where it was and put it all back). Problem is I think i have flipped over the handlebars a few times because of it (easier to blame the bike that my own incompetence) I find this is denting my confidence a bit as I am unsure if I can trust it. Now what i want to know is - if the spring is too soft can it cause this? Can i get it stiffened or replaced? Should I chuck it (Sell it on the hub to someone who weighs less than me) and look at a new fork with AIR! If replace is my best option what should I look at buying without breaking the bank. +/-3 - 4 grand!
