Its more about colluding to ensure I cant shop around otherwise my supplier who undercuts others will find himself without supply. I do go to another bike shop now.

perfect sense. When approaching a slipway i tend to try indicate I'm going straight then move to the middle of that lane going straight if possible. This way my intention is clear and I am visible to motorists and i believe I am less likely to be knocked off. That being said I always find slipways stressful so try avoid them where I can. Really busy ones that I cant avoid I simply hop onto the pavement and walk across then ride once over it.

I always ask for a cash discount - Sometimes you get it sometimes not. If the salesman has attitude then i give them my card and let them take their 5+% knock anyway. If they simply say that they can't margins etc... I accept it. nothing ventured nothing gained.

I think your biggest issue is the region coding and the NTSC vs PAL thing although most tv's nowadays can do both. To be honest I would probably not import one from the us.
