It is a collective noun. As in a FLOCK of sheep or a flock of birds, in religious terms it is a grouping of people that follow a preacher / pastor etc.. So in short it is a collection. the word flock was used in place of a profanity - aka Substitution. I could have used a spoonerism which would have ended up something like What The ?Suck? but then S and F would have been out of line. And you were under the impression that the hub was a cycling related site? It is the unofficial smartie - Stuffs exchange, you can learn stuffs, you can get spelling corrected, learn to speak smack..... The list goes on.
