Aaaaahhhh for f....sakes!! ... just get over it and stop using the Hub for your issues!! I understand that you are unhappy but please rather contact ASG and get it off your chest. Rather be glad that we are getting people involved in racing. Admittedly they had some issues with some organisational topics over the last couple of races but it is definately getting better by the race.

You stood for 20min next to the road waiting at the T-Junction?!?!? ...... I also did the 80km and all that I can say is .... K#K!! This sounds like a personal thing or you are just having Monday morning blues. I really liked the race with some concerns regarding the finish - a finish in the main road would probably be better.

Met a guy over the weekend whilst cycling and he told me that the roads are pretty bad around there currently. Haven't been there myself recently - bit of a lonf drive from Pretoria for the Stonehaven rides. Anybody that can confirm the condition of the roads?

Is the 80km still a seeding distance for the 94.7 as well?

The race is this coming 'SUNDAY' and not 'SATURDAY' when you were building your track ..... I cycle this route nearly every Sunday morning and it is an awesome loop. The busiest part is the actual Moloto road but definately nothing to get excited about in terms of safety.

I have always loved the 'xxxx' Satellite race. Hekpoort is just awesome in a race and to see how different people respond to it differently is what cycling is about for me. Really a pity about the sponsorship though. I also however recall a 'financial' scandal at the Telkom Club resulting in the race changes. I have entered the race and are looking forward to do it on my recently aquired Pinarello FPTeam, wearing my Rudy helmet and glasses ..... Have only received great service from ASG and wish them well with their involvement. Welcome to the free market ...

Bikes are expensive and the wrong size will make you hate it! I have had the wrong size Giant frame and after replacing it with the correct size Felt I only realised how important the correct size is. The wrong size will cause various problems such as neck pain, shoulder pain, ITB, etc, etc ... For the perfect fit I would also recommend taking your bike to Cycle Fit for a proper setup. 100% worth the 590 bucks!

I recently bought a road Pinarello FPTeam with internal brake cables (running inside the frame). They do rattle against which I suppose is the inside of the frame over bad road surfaces. Is there anything that I can do to stop these rattles?

And is it really worth paying +-R5k more for Ultegra over 105?

I currently have a 2009 road bike with Ultegra SL components and are currently looking at buying a new 2013 bike with 105 components. Should I keep the 2013 105 components on the new bike or replace them with the 2009 Ultegra SL? ... what if any is the major difference between the two except for maybe a slight weight difference? Any advice will be appreciated.

Any recommendations for good accommodation close to the start so that you can get there on your bike?
