  1. So I wonder who the Caveman is referencing. "1 more to go"
  2. Nope @emmasadlier remains Would love her opinion on the retraction though lol
  3. Did he also recover from bilharzia ?
  4. Only surprise really is that it took this long.
  5. Dave Bellairs was speaking on cape talk earlier on behalf of Cycle Tour Trust and said they are looking to institute bans from the tour against the cyclist / cyclists involved who can be clearly identified. Hopefully this happens in time for the 2014 event still.
  6. Neil Macpherson out in Noordhoek does the Retul bike setup. He's done me on both my road and TT bike setups. A very, comprehensive setup. http://www.dinamic-coaching.com/portfolio/bike-setup/ https://www.retul.com/what-is-retul/
  7. http://www.bicycling.co.za/news-people/local-news-news-people/george-im-guilty/ Full statement.
  8. Not sure if Kevin McCallum is taking the piss or not only time will tell. Apparently Nedbank have released a statement saying David George has admitted to taking EPO. From twitter Kevin McCallum ‏@KevinMcCallum "David George has just admitted to taking EPO, according to a statement from Nedbank." Statement Snippet "On 29th August 2012, I returned an out of competition positive test for Erythropoietin (EPO). I will not be asking for a B sample to be tested as I know the result will ultimately be the same. This decision will be communicated to Cycling South Africa (CSA) and Drug Free Sport shortly and according to protocol. I fully understand the consequences of my admission and will bear the results of this. Cycling, as you know, has been a confusing space and although it has given me incredible moments it has also given me experiences that no person or young athlete should have to go through."
  9. What the scientists say in response to his claims that he was at an unfair advantage yesterday after being unable to defend is 200m title in the T44 race at the ParaOlympics http://www.sportsscientists.com/2012/09/oscar-pistorius-counting-strides-as.html Rather disappointing that he did not just take it on the chin.
  10. Apparently today's stage finished 45 minutes ahead of schedule. Not sure how that happened but SS's 2hrs of coverage only ended up being just under 60 minutes considering they crossed over late as well. Maybe they all doped up last night and raced like machines or just bad planning / scheduling all round.
  11. I was wrong about SA Active. You can have both. I don't use the SA Active membership as they don't seem to have any road races and I can fill up my fitness points in other ways. You can add your own events provided you have a URL Link to a results page they can verify to. I mostly use it for road races ( running ) and the system had changed now so that if one person adds an event that wasnt listed it becomes available for others to use as well so you dont have several people submitting to have the same race added
  12. What exactly is the SA Active Benefit and how does it work as i have both. Both a Gym Membership with it's once off fee that i have had for the last 6 or 7 years and then I have an SA Active membership as well which costs me between R95 a few years ago to R140 per year for renewal this year which i find well worth it as by the end of January i already have my 20000 Vitality points in the bag Is there a different type of SA Active Membership ?
  13. Decided on going out on the road on Saturday seeing as it was such a pleasant morning and i wasnt counting on that much standing water in Blouberg and Surrounds. Dont think the 2hrs spent cleaning the bike after 2hrs of riding is worth it so i'm leaning towards getting a trainer as well.
  14. This should work. http://s200.photobucket.com/albums/aa184/22Colonel/
  15. Jumping the gun there assuming the driver is at fault are we not ?

  19. haha My Club Captain at the running club is trying to get me to sign up so i'll have to make a decent effort of it ... Will see what a mission it is to get the bars on and off as i am mostly training for iron man but would like some company on the road as well so taking them off occasionally would be a worthy sacrifice. Much appreciated.
  20. Visitors welcome ? Tri-Bars to be removed ? visitors welcome tri-bars ? You'll probably be in the front doing all the work Not for a 4th time out on my first bike i hardly imagine so Am just looking to not cycle alone .... R27 is very lonely place on you own
  21. Visitors welcome ? Tri-Bars to be removed ?
  22. STM' date=' I think the whole thread started as a joke (I might be wrong, I'm just a DUMB dutchman)[/quote'] Dumb Dutchman You mean there's truth to what Puke Watson was saying ? mhbotha2008-11-18 02:32:47
  23. Rather interesting thread this i must admit. Having bought a 2nd hand 2005 Cervelo Soloist 2 weeks ago after having looked out for a decent bike at a decent price for the last 18 months i must admit on the 2 rides i been out on so far ( 25k and 60k ) i have gotten my fair share of dirty looks for whatever reason it may be because i was climbing a hill at was showing 6km/h on the speedo or because of the fact that i Had Tri-Bars on as i would like to convert from Ultra Marathon running to Tri-Athlons and i know the roadies dont like thos aparenly or like you said it may be because i'm a chump on an expensive bike that cant climb a hill yet and could probarbly run up there faster at the mo than ride it but ... tough takkies to you. I'll Get There.
