Cause I dopnt have stitching/glue so thats why!!! and I am using my clinchers but why I am unkeen is this. I have 4 sets of wheels my best (easten tempest) now have puncture my second best (shimano ultegra clinchers) dont have the right gearing my 2nd worst (Bontrager select) is completely buckled and im using my worst which I dont know what are called - come standard on a trek 100, have about 300 spokes and weigh a fortune...dunno hwo to change gears

no way am I attepmting that, but thanks anyway, guess my race is screwed I've got a few sets of Clinchers for training, my tubbies are my racing wheels, only reason I was using them today was that was trying my new bike before my race

I agree with you100%. The + groupo was pickikng up the pace in the last few km and preparing for the fina sprint when we hit an ikntersection. I dunno what happened with the marshal cause he didnt do anything. Half the group shouted right while the other shouted straigvht. this ended up in 2 cyclelab academy riders going straight and the rest of the bunch going right, almost causeing a collision......split up the group at the ctucial stage or 1.5km to go

maybe get a cleat setup from a cycle shop, cycle-lab gave me a nice one - no burning!

I know, Like im riding a trek 1500 and i just fly through my groups and then see these nog-schelppers at the back with these fancy bikes...actually cant! such idiots buy expensive kit and bike and think it will make them into the next jan ulrich

I sincerely apologize to anybody whom this applies to but . . . Is it just me or does it really get to you when you see someone riding a cervelo S3 or a trek madone 6.9 going up a hill (2% gradient) at about 16km'h. It actually sickens me and I want to punch that person in the face! but maybe its just me... but how do you feel?

firstly I want to wish you best of luck! you will prob be short of air but forget that. Even if you don't reach your goal (Which im sure you will, depending on your fitness level), Just have fun Floor it on the first bit and save energy for krugersdorp highway at the end. shouldnt change much of your food/drink intake of that you have used for training but go through about 1 bottle of energy drink every hour (I sip every 5 minutes) and have 1 energy bar/hour GOOD LUCK!!! see you at the finish line (if I get there )

well, coming from someone who has never used it. . .. I think that recommendation from the pros is good cause when I went to a talk about riding by malcolm lange I tried all the things he recommended and now I want to buy a raleigh just because he said so. It all brain-wash but it works.
