  1. Her location is also pretty cool, I drove through from Hermanus with the family and while i was being fitted they had a nice lunch and the kids had a jol at the play area.
  2. Never been more comfortable on a bike since my fitment....
  3. Chubba I can reccomend https://irmfit.co.za/ - Irma.
  4. Mountains and the Sea......
  5. Currently running GX Eagle 1x12 on the DS. Personally I found I needed a bit more on the high end of the cassette for some of my riding. Still have the 1x10 setup on my carbon Zaskar HT (SRAM X9 rear mech, SRAM cassette, SRAM chain and Rapide 32 Oval NW upfront) which I still ride? Never needed the GOAT Link as the SRAM mech coped.
  6. Ran a 1x46 ten speed setup for a while - very possible to do as mentioned by the other guys.
  7. JPC - Conrad (the dad) runs C4 cycles which is in that centre by McDonalds. His son Chaunce runs old / new Eagle Canyon Cycles....
  8. some of you may recall a post i made regarding C4 Cycles, and now that they own Eagle Canyon, well all I can say is good luck to them, but I dont see them being in business for very long. Their prices on stuff is ok, but thats about where it ends. I have had a mate take his bike back repeatedly to have his gears properly set on a MTB, and after much annoyence, ended up at Linden. Good luck Conrad and Chaunce, god knows you need it....
  9. its pretty sad though as he has just started up his shop / retail outlet and I really wanted to support the guy as much as possible, I have sent a number of my cycling mates his way, but yeah I'm dissapointed by them (him and his son). About a month ago I needed to fit a crown race and took it past them to do for me, crown race and fork was in the car and I happened to be driving past, so ANY excuse to stop at a bike shop. His son fitted the crown race with a BB tool (that half moon one for the shimano external BB) and ended up gauging the thing like you have now idea. Looked like it had been on a date with a chainsaw, had a similar discussion as with the ratchet system with his son who said if I wanted a new crown race I would have to pay for it. Conrad was around and overheard us and said it was cool, and replaced the crown race FOC. Anyway, onwards and upwards.
  10. this pic really does make me just want to hop on the bike and ride.... do the things that make you smile and love....
  11. Ok so to conclude, Gavin has just left my place, he replaced both ratchet systems which was very unexpected as I only expected him to replace the broken one. Big thumbs up to Gavin, I am a client for life. Now if someone could explain to me - in like bullet point form - how to edit the titel of this post, that would be great.
