  1. WTF an albino bike!!!!! Regard2009-10-29 08:11:56
  2. Are you sure the bike shop put a saddle on that seatpost WELCOME to the dirty side!!!!!
  3. Yip, I think there is a ride-before-you-buy day on 22 Nov.
  4. Rather pic your brand/model and ask wether it is good/reliable/cool/classy?? For 40k there is allot to buy!
  5. All very true, I agree, but what about that bloody Contador dude? He wins them both!!! FREAK
  6. My wife also insisted I by her a Makro bike when she started(I warned her). She wanted to give up on the first up hill we did!!!! We tossed the bike just there, near Kaapschehoop in the bos. Went to a proper cycle shop and bought her a entry level Merida for R3000. She couldn't believe the diff. So, if you want to hate cycling by a Makro special If you want to find joy in it spend a bit more, you wont regret it
  7. That is the problem! No real start or end to this trail. We have managed to put together our own trail that takes in some serious ups and downs and wich last about 2-3 hours. To be honest, if I go there this week I will most probably will have to look for the start myself again. As you get to know the place better you will realy discover serious "gems" of trails there that will test all your skills. Hope they will now start to make it bit more "user friendly"!
  8. All-right, I'm a doc but always very weary to give out advice on the hub!!!! As mentioned above, if you feel muscle pains and fever (myositis) due to flu, then you might develop a cardiomyopathy. In other words, when over training when you have muscle ache may leed to heart dissease. This only happens in "one in a million" cases but you do not want to be that one case. Best case: you will just have a kk race and will take a week longer to recover. So, rather chill out this week.
  9. Rode there 3 or 4 weekends ago. Very rocky, never-ending climbs if you wish, even a few realy techn. single track sections. Very safe(all the building eareas of the Gautrain has been completly fenced-off. The cost is R15 per person, but if you are what they call "'n Friend van die Monument" it's for free
  10. Hell, either you do 1500km per month or they just want to sell. P.S. if you only going to pay R1500 for all that( depending on model) its not a bad price. Maybe pay and be sure your bike is fightiing fit! (XT casset R800, Chain R300, chain rings R500, wheels?R200)?????
  11. Oh, believe me, I will post them!!! Enjoy your bike!
  12. What are you getting Regard?? I'm waiting for a black Morewood Zula that I'm gonna build up!!!

  14. You have a problem with what you ride!!!! You were trying to sell it just the other day!!!???
  15. I agree!!!!! Best is, I went there last week and watched as they was building my new black baby!!!!!!! She must be on her way now!!!!!!
  16. Ag just leave that JZ dude alone! He just feels bad because his got one of those commercial, Tiawan made bikes and not something unique and hand built!!!!! Now he tries to defend it for all its worth!!!
  17. That is true. You will have to do the conversion. Like HR said You can try to find a Stans kit for R600 but they usualy go for close to R950 these days. There is however a cheaper option where you buy two velves, and the sealant and use insulation tape or the real ghetto converstion with the bmx tube! Let me know what you decide, I'll try and help! Regard2009-10-06 23:02:33
  18. What rims do you have? On certain rims you can do a very easy cheap conversion yourself and then all you'll need is 2 new tyres!
  19. Werner, koop net daai moerse nice raam, dis 'n bargain!!!! Koop sommer die Fox saam Regard2009-08-28 01:26:21
  20. I don't know why everybody strugles with the 20" tube method???? I did my own on my dt swiss rims for nothing and it works beter than any rimstrip!!! I used black electrical type(insulation type), presta valve cut from old tube, 2 small o-rings and Stans sealant!!!!! Lightest and best I've ever used!
  21. Shame!!! Nobody care to explain why they do that????
  22. Just what I meant by you have to earn your respect
  23. In every cycling magazine there is always an army of roadies bitching and moaning about the lack of cycle specific lanes or roads ect, ect. Me being mostly a mtb'r then kinda feels sorry for them. BUT........ .... this morning about 10:00 I drove down Willem Botha ave. in Centurion. This is one of the only streets I know of with a cycle specific lane. And gues what I see???: There comes Cycle Lab PTA's sunday morning road group up the road holding up 3 or 4 cars behind them because they ride 3 or even 4 riders abreast and this include the two "marshals" in their red Team kit!!!! And this on one of the only roads where there is actualy a cycle lane!!! So: I wil from now on not be wearing my Cycle Lab kit, in the event somebody will associate me with those people If I ever hear about roadies moaning about accidents, motorists that are rude ect., ect. I will certainly think twice before defending the cyclist!! And I do not want any of Cycle Lab's boring emails telling me about "the clubs mission to make people more understanding towards cyclists and to promote road cyclists cause" WHAT EVER!!!!!!!! I truly feel that you only get the respect you earn! TAKE THAT ROADIES!!!! Regard2009-08-16 09:31:31
