Mampara, doesn't organic have more braking power than metal/sintered? I use the metal organic pads(mix between the two) and it works great, it does not squeal ever and have more than enough brake power (and I weight 90kg), dry or wet. I haven't seen them in any LBS yet, I bought mine on CRC.

I'm having difficulty deciding which XC bike to buy. I'm riding the Epic next year so I'm looking for a FS in the range of R22 000. I have a Scott Spark 35 at the moment but after the third time it broke I decided to get something reliable.

I prefer to do it myself, the lbs always mess things up. I don't have all the tools yet, so I have to take it in from time to time.

I think it might be the same guy, the one that I saw looked like he lost his left leg. I've put my road bike on its stand yesterday and took my mtb off, I'm to scared to go on the road after seeing that accident.

That could be very confusing yes. I bought myself a motorcycle about a month ago to ride to work and I personally don't expect anyone to move over for me to pass between the lanes, because the motorist have the right of way and I'm the one that is not riding in the lane. As a cyclist I always obey the traffic light and stop signs because I am the one that is vulnerable. Motorist has no obligation to move over for cyclist or motorcyclist, they do it out of kindness and I always thank them for it. I think this is the only way motorist and cyclist would get along, and not by waving and shouting. I haven't heard anything on the news about the accident from yesterday, so hopefully the person was not injured that bad.

The accident was about 10m from the google sign towards Stellenbosch. There is almost no yellow line to cycle in.

I'm not sure about the age, there where about 6 other cyclist with him/her standing on the sidewalk. It just happened a minute or so before I passed by because there wasn't an ambulance or anything on its way there yet.

Does anyone know something about the accident on the R304 in Stellenbosch at the Kayamandi robot this morning. A truck drove over a cyclist, it did not look good.
