So there is no problem if Fuji owns the rights to the name, as long as Specialized doesn't? I think I see double standards being applied here, just because Specialized created a PR booby. I ride a Fuji.

Anyone know anything about a large group of cyclists travelling on the N1, between Bloem and Edenburg? It is being reported on the OFM radio news. Just wondering?

If this was not a guy in a little corner shop, but a large company would everyone still be throwing their toys out the cot?

I really think this is a brilliant idea. I have been cycling for approximately 12 years now, and the problem has now got out of hand. Cyclists blaming cars and cars blaming cyclists. Both camps need to "walk the talk" and stop blaming, and importantly, think for a second. I have an idea that might assist. Plenty cyclists have gopro type cameras. Strap them on your bike during training rides, also stick it in your car. If you record any ass, car or bike making "nonsense", upload to a site, not too sure how you would work it. Then name and shame, cyclists, motorists or companies. Someone would have to control the content, to prevent misuse, abuse, etc. Maybe this would help, you guys would know best.

I might get my head bitten off, but here goes. Yes, the entry fees are expensive, and by paying those fees I expect my safety not to be compromised by organisers trying to make a profit, (for whatever reason). My thoughts go around the organisers that make donations to charities. Do not get me wrong, I believe it is a good thing, but not at my expense, safety wise. Surely there is a way of obtaining a happy medium, good safety first, then give to the charities?

I have been reading all the comments and so far, there are no facts proving this person is breaking any law. She is under no obligation to reveal her sources, just as we are under no obligation to purchase from her. Free world. Why has nobody been to the cops with their allegations/facts???? Because there are none, only bulls&*t. Personally, based on what I have read so far, I would buy from her.

I really have no scientific knowledge, but maybe a bit of common sense. Loosing weight can only benefit you, health wise definitely. Speed will improve, based on you having less kilos to drag over every km, plus I am sure you will find it easier climbing hills. Bottom line, no matter what your weight is, there is no substitute for training. Set yourself small, attainable goals, either based on your weight, or your average speed and stick to them. Now, all I have to do is follow my own advice.

Hi Did you ever complete this conversion. Reason I am asking, I have a Fuji racer I want to convert to a semi hybrid. I have had a few back ops, plus my wrist. I am going to be operated on my neck early next year and do not want to stop riding. I still want to take part in certain fun ride races, therefore I want to keep my existing bike, but alter it so I can sit more upright to alleviate the pain. If you did complete this project, could you tell me what parts you used and what the pitfalls are?

Plenty good advice given. Main thing, go out at an easy pace, if you try stick with the fast boys, you could land up paying the price on the Krugersdorp motorway. In my opinion, the second half of this race is the killer, speaking for unfit guys like myself. Enjoy it, you will never regret it.

Hi Guys New to the forum. Came across this topic while browsing. Is it possible I could get some gpx files that you guys have. I have been off the bike for about 2 years now and need to get back into it. I have a Powerbeam pro which can utilise gpx files. Appreciate any assistance. Thanks
