  5. I have seen some bikes with carbon wheels but much of it depends on your weight and resulting power to weight ratio. Best is to chat to Andrew at Cycle lab re this.
  6. You can get three blades but only get the big and middle.

  8. Not too sure what your question means - can you elaborate
  9. Off setting them can cause huge problem when trying to corner and also makes the jump to the standing position more difficult. When TT'ing on flat it can also disrupt your rythm and this is where the Q-ring removes the assosiated "dead spot".
  10. Give Ivan a call on 073 373 5999 and ask who the best installer is. My honest advice is get someone who owns a Q-ring fitted tandem to install them as the settings are very NB. Also dont go out on day 1 and race as you can end up damaging the group set. Changing from blades is much slower and DONT do it on an uphill. My boet and I flying up Blouberg hill with a pomping South Easter at our backs tried to change from middle to big blade at about 45km/h and the pressure was just way too much - ended up stripping my gear lever.
  11. MDK, the last 2 races me and Chilli was sitting in this bunch where a mixed tandem had those Q rings on. The lady (stoker) looked as if she was swinging from side to side on her saddle. I take it this is from her saddle being too high (which it didn't really look to be) and not from the Q rings? Swinging side to side - absofrigginlutley. After I had the Q-ring fitted my boet and I (200kgs without bike) now climb Hellshoogte without touching granny. Matterafact - we even did a few of D'ville rolling hills in big blade where normally we would be middle blade.
