  1. Gotta agree there 100% as our average speed on the 555 EXPRESS dropped from 43km/h at Melkbos to 33 at finish mdk5552007-10-29 08:34:57
  2. Many thanks for the compliments and the support but gotta be 100% honest and state that I had, bar for helping a little bit with the marshals, very little to do with WCE 2007. All praises belong to Gaby and her team.
  3. Not too sure what you mean. My responce is just that - His query re public announcement now makes more sence sence to me.
  4. Agreed and the marshals are supposed to police it but the problem come is when some idiots get abusive and then even threaten them with legal action. Regret as not to make a big scene, they keep quiet.
  5. You see' date=' this is how little you actually know about stuff, it has been known for some time now about RR, so next time please dont stick your nose where it doesnt belong. Why must there be a public announcement? Isnt his fine and ban enough for him already?? Cowboy.[/quote'] Why not go public? Things like this should be known as it will stop guys from cycling out of registered kit and protect our sponsors. Business's sponsor clubs to get exposure and as it is it hard to get them on board and dont see why some one else can get a freebie as they please.
  6. PPA will adjust the time on the next run.
  7. You are quite correct. Late/missing start should = going around the mats and no time.
  8. PPA is not at fault - she was later so she must accept incorrect time.
  9. Nice pics.
  10. Get a tandem and only feel half the wind but best part is when you turn around and the wind is behind you - expect to flyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
  11. Good luck with your first outing Well done.
  12. Got this from Kevin - South African Adaptive Rowing Team (Disabled rowing) and please contact him regarding recruitment info of athletes. Hi<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> I am a member of the South African Adaptive Rowing Team (Disabled rowing), and I wanted to try make contact with as many organisations as possible who may deal with disabled athletes. We are currently looking to recruit some disabled athletes to join the national rowing squad, especially female athletes, with the goal of qualifying for the Paralympic Games in <?:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><?:namespace prefix = u1 />Beijing next year. At present we have 1 female and 3 male athletes in the team, where we require 2 male and 2 female members. The qualifying is quite soon, in May next year, and are looking for current athletes who would be willing to try rowing with the prospect of going to Beijing next year. We have a very good chance of qualifying for the games, as long as we find a female athlete and be able to teach her to row in a few months. If you have any details of possible athletes we could approach, or other organisations we could speak to, please could you forward these to me. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. 14. Wannabe, the boet and I did Tour de Vino which was first funrace on the tandem with Q rings and both of us did not feel any specific knee pain but I can tell you that my gluets (spelling??) are sore and I believe that it is directly attributable to the fact the fact we climbed Hellshoogte without going into granny once. I can tell this that we are not 100% comfy on the tandem since fitting the Q's but I do believe that it is a combination of very bad winter unfitness and that bike set up needs some tweeking.
  15. Have a safe trip Oom H
  16. Just realised that I wont be at the Geko as I will be in Mauritius on honeymoon
  17. Yep I must admit that I am a little aprehensive about taking the tandem over gravel. I will try the tire liner thing for that day.
