  1. They should consider making the WINE2WHALES or something similar like that an overnight event. It's close to home, missus can drop you off on the Saturday i Stellenbosch and then meet you Sunday in Hermanus. No need for B&B, taking leave etc.
  2. Absofriggilutely - some day/night ot even night into day would be awesome.
  3. Accident happened on 11/7,operated on 13/7, saw quack on 24/7 and then allowed me to spin at gym but no standing/pressure on arm. Arm is out of sling and will be seeing him on 19/8 and if he is happy with growth will allow me to road cycle but no MTB. Can only MTB 4 weeks later so Karoo 2 Coast is out as well. Now looking at doing Desert Dash in Nam on 18/19 Dec mdk5552009-08-05 00:36:13

  11. Got this from Nick - Yesterday I was in agony, there was hardly a place on my body that wasn?t sore and bruised, but the pain suppressors are doing wanders and this morning I am feeling a lot better already. It turns out that there are no bones broken, but all the tendons holding up the arm are torn off, which is what is causing a large bulge on the top off the shoulder which I thought was a bone sticking up under the skin. I will be seeing an orthopedic surgeon tomorrow to hear whether they will need to operate or not. The Dr. that attended to me at Netcare says that there is some sort of artificial tendons they use to replace the torn ones. Please convey my thanks and appreciation to all the club members that stopped and helped, they were really helpful, and although I did thank the nature conservation guys who took me to hospital, I would like to to thank them again, so if could pass on a message to them as well I would appreciate it. I must say I am having serious misgivings about mountain biking, it seems I am jingked with MTB in that I either have bike problems as with the Oak Valley ride, then the first ride after the bike was fixed I have a spill which is most likely going to to put me out of action for several weeks. I had entered both the Knysna MTB & road rides now I will not be able to do either. We had booked at a lovely guest house on the Heads called ?House Hammond ? I have heard that accommodation is no hard to come by, so perhaps you could put out a circular that a room for two is available there. Apparently a massage for the ladies is is included, from their website the place looks fairly up market and respectable. Their web address is: http://www.househammond.co.za/ My cell is: 083077504501 Regards Nick

  18. Onetime - looks like we missed out as I got this from Rodney.............................. Cobus and I rode up to Koeberg to join you guys for a lap around Koeberg. It looks like disprin syndrome had affected most riders as we found no other riders on the loop. We had a great ride with not a drop of rain and a gentle north to push us home. We will try and do the ride most Wednesdays leaving at between 16h45 and 17h00 from the beach front (opposite Zeezicht). The ride is 58km and we ride at an average pace of 25- 27km /hr. Anyone interested can join us at the beachfront or just ride back with us. Good front and rear lights are essential for the ride home.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
