A friend of mine got rid of his Terralogic. It let him down in sprint fininishes when it gets "confused"and become to soft. Dont know in latest models if its still a problem.

Its a matter of principle. Why battle for 4 weeks to get an honest answer out of them. I dont do business like that. Will rather get a Polar 800 now and forget about maps etc

I spoke to a Mr Johan de Bruyn over lunchtime, and he phoned me back with an answer 10min later. He admitted the fault was with Avnic and not with Tribal trading zone, and apologized for the bad service. I refuse to buy a Garmin product again and cancelled the order anyway because of the service I got. End of story

Pocketbikes - i have only read fantastic things about Avnic on this website and thats why its such a surprice to me, why somebody messed up like this - would just like to get to the bottom of it. I am sure they will up their game after this complaint. Will post the response once I have it from them.

LE - we also entered on the website - i hope the system entered us in the correct categories as it did not ask for any info. When can one expect to get new licences for 2009, if you entered online for it about 2 weeks ago? Is your organisation marketing this XC race properly - on tv , newspapers, radio etc - as we need to promote cross-country as much as possible if we want to grow it.

My LBS has proof of payment for the 3rd of December to Tribal trading zone. Tribal also said they have proof of payment to Avnic. My guess is that money was taken, and they have an out of stock situation. But why are they not honest about it? Anyway, I have canceled my order now and my LBS will be asking for a refund on Monday , when everybody is back from the sea.

Just for your info big.mamma - I am not a soutie and I deserve service like anybody else if I paid for a product. On Saturday it will be 30 days since we paid over the money to Tribal trading zone, and I am sure you would also have been totally peeved off, is this happened to you, because one expects service when you pay lots of money for something. Am I unreasonable to expect service? Be this a warning to other people trading with this company that they must not be in a hurry to get what they paid for. I am asking for a refund from them tomorrow and its the last time I will ever try and buy a Garmin product in South Africa from Tribal trading zone or Avnic!

Anybody going to Cape Town for this National cross-country race? Wonder whether the "big guns" such as Mr Sauser, will be taking part again, like in Jan 2008 ? Has the XC-course being changed? I heard that 6 riders in each of the different XC age categories (juniors,U23 and elite) doing well in the first few National XC races of the year, may get an entry ticket to the worlds at Pietermaritzburg in April. Is it true?

We have been trying for 2 weeks daily to get an answer. When we phone Avnic, they say we must speak to the Tribal zone guys and vice versa. Latest today is that they are now closed, and will sort it out in the new year. End of story

Payment has been paid 3 weeks ago to Tribal zone on the 3rd of December as they are the wholesaler to bikeshops. Tribalzone dont know what is going on. They cant supply tracking numbers or a reason for not sending. Somebody is blocking it and its either Tribalzone or Avnic or both. We always hear praises of Avnic's efficiency on this website. Why dont they do some damage control and find out what and where is the problem? If their main supplier to bikeshops can manage their own business, then Avnic must cancel their contract. Having to wait for 3 weeks is not on. My LBS is now going to try and get the money back from Tribalzone for lack of services delivery and total ineffeciency. What I cant understand, is why are people so dishonest. No company can be build on excuses and promises. I hope these 2 companies take note of this, or I can guarantee you that they are going to fail. If there is anybody out there that deal with either of these companies, pls tell them about this problem. Maybe somebody will then catch a wake up. Konaman2008-12-23 06:56:49
