  1. Live stream up on the UCI website https://www.uci.org/mountain-bike/news/2021/coming-up-live-2021-uci-mountain-bike-world-cup-in-val-di-sole-ita
  2. Eft done. Great initiative. Thanks for organising!
  3. I've been riding 2.35 tires on 30mm ID rims the past 9 months and it made a noticeable difference. Really enjoying the lower pressures.
  4. SLX 12 speed is the sweet spot. First prize is if you current hub manufacturer has a micro spline freehub body for your existing hub. Many hub manufacturers have been added since beginning of 2020, just not sure of availability in ZA (https://bikerumor.com/2020/04/20/a-comprehensive-list-of-micro-spline-compatible-hub-mfgs-for-12-spd-shimano-cassettes/) Like many has said, depending on budget a good start would be Sunrace 11- 51 cassette with SLX 12 speed to start off and upgrade wheel/hub to micro spline at later stage. If budget allows new hub/wheel also consider a Lyne Components micro spline wheelset or hub (https://www.on-lynecomponents.com/collections/wheels). "Affordable" if budget allows ... and lekker local bunch of guys with excellent support. Then you can slap on SLX 12 speed cassette straight away. Good luck figuring it out. It's half the fun and makes the ride so much more enjoyable when the plan comes together.
  5. Yeah that’s not right... mine expired 19 Aug.
  6. Big shout out to the ladies at the Tokai office. Went this morning to process the three month extension on my Activity Card that expired mid-Aug. Not only did they do the extension to November but also processed my renewal and made the new end date Nov 2021. A pleasant experience and all got sorted in 5 minutes.
  7. +1 on this experience. I can't remember when last anyone of the in-store CWC salespeople approached to offer assistance... they just float around aimlessly.
  8. Definitely Extreme Lights. Great products backed up by even better after sales service.
  9. Just checking to make sure, when you say SLX 12x shifter it has to be the 12 speed SLX M7100 I-spec shifter, right? Because the SLX M7100 12 speed shifter is the new I-spec EV standard and should just screw onto the SLX M7100 brakes lever without any adapters?
  10. +1 on the Lyne Amp wheels. You'll enjoy the 30mm rims on the Lyne Amps. You'll also get amazing support from the Lyne guys.
  11. Spotted this today. Might hopefully be of some help. https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/182929-xt-m8100slx-m7100/?p=3534505
  12. Hi Ivan. I'd say go for it. I moved over from XT M8000 11 speed to the new XT M8100 12 speed a couple of months ago and I'm genuinely impressed. It's really as good as all the reviews say. IMO the shifting is noticeably softer and slightly more crisp than the XT M8000. They also got the gear steps on the cassette exactly right. I never feel like I need some more/less or in between gears. The shifting under load is phenomenal and like most of the reviews say, it's almost better the more pressure you apply! It blows the mind that the ramps on the cassette pick up the chain without any issue. The whole drivetrain is quick and easy to install in less than two hours. It's also an incredibly quiet drivetrain. The clutch issue isn't new XT 12 speed specific and has been around with the previous generation XT as well. Seems it's hit and miss with the clutch issue and not everyone experiences it. Best would be to do a once or twice a year grease of the clutch. Takes no more than 5 min to do.
  13. +1 for Courier Guy Used them three times in the past month to send parcels to Jhb and Durban. Quick and efficient. Super easy to book your parcel on www.xoc.co.za and get quote so you know what you' re in for. All shipments delivered within 2 business days.
  14. Another possible issue is the shifter cable. Could be cable tied to tight somewhere or internally something could be too tight placing drag on the cable. See this thread I stumbled on before about similar issue: https://www.pinkbike.com/forum/listcomments/?threadid=216921
  15. +1 Great guys and great service. Riding their Amp 30 V2 wheels and using the One-for-all under bar dropper lever. Products are of great quality and excellent value for money IMO.
