  1. Maxxis Medusa are for mud
  2. Rumour has it that you are so slow that you put the streamers on your bar ends so you can tell when you are moving.
  3. Asked the same question in Jan.....had an old Yeti 575 before. Eventually bought a Chumba VF2. No regrets....
  4. Hi Fritz, thank you for acknowledging my b!tching session. I appreciate the problems that must come with organising a big event like this and your total control is limited to the people that are employed to assist. Obviously our sport has an element of danger, it was just the elements and nature surrounding my particular fall the made my blood boil as I was concentrating more on making sure my handle bars didn't clip the gate than staring up in the sky looking for a wayward baseball bat. The shade from the hut kept the cross beam from obvious view and as you can imagine I was in a bit of a hurry. Other than that I accept that the farmer is a **** and that sh!t happens when pipes burst. My helmet although new is not a write off, my glasses are cheap, the teeth marks in my tongue have healed, chicks dig the scab on my forehead and I've got full medical aid. So as "compensation" I guess you can move my seeding from C to B so then I don't have to try kill myself chasing down my mates in B. Race number is 1275 MBP out
  5. Probably because when I got over my daze and my ears stopped ringing I asked her in a very calm and quiet manner to get to the other side of the fence and warn people.
  6. I was probably the first but I'm sure not the last to nearly lose my head at "that narrow gate with the cross beam". A small piece of bunting tape hanging from top bar would have saved me a damaged helmet, a 5 second sleep and a few trips to the chiropractor. I would normally direct my anger towards the organisers by calling them a bunch of four letter words starting with F an C but I wont cos the farmer who delayed us going through his land because the organisers failed to get his permission is probably on the phone to them right now telling them what they are anyway. I'm sorry but this race left a very bad taste in my mouth even before we had to ride through the river of sh!t at the end. Poor show. Rant over.
  7. I'm going to kill you dead until you die. Get it right, I am a tjop not a chop.
  8. But only if the germans are coming Basil.
  9. To all you tjops that spell tjop chop. We spell "tjop" T-J-O-P not C-H-O-P
  10. I converted to Gripshift about a month ago and I'm developing a pain on the inside of both thumbs. I also put slightly shorter bars on and although I've tried to keep the sweep angle the same I'm wondering if the subtle change could be causing it. Anyone else had/cured the same problem?
  11. Who's Andy Fleck? Did I miss something?
  12. FCIAFB !! It's "Tjop" not "chop". Used in a sentence "the team manager can like to be a tjop"
  13. Not as bad as hacking out a lung oyster.
  14. A dozen or so years in national motorsport puts a completely different perspective on things. I don't have a problem with entry fees unless you're talking Epic.
  15. Stretching in/after a HOT bath works for me. Also self massage.(ONLY YOUR LEGS!)
  16. I swear I haven't been training. Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.
  17. Ja most stuff is made in china but I guess it depends on whether it is made there under licence. If not then somewhere someone is getting screwed. Just a question of ethics really, not that I'm judging anyone. We all contribute to piracy at some stage so forget I ever said anything.
  18. If you read the bad english on the product description you will understand that this is all chinese stuff. Thats why it's cheap. 19. Anything is possible with a 4 pound hammer.
  20. Completely off the topic but does "Barney Treger" actually exist or is the name just a Pseudonym for a "Bontrager" agent?
  21. I'm still not sold on the "new hub". Things like dragging your mouse over a for sale heading and seeing more details.... doesn't happen any more...and it seems a bit cluttered on the home page. I like the new profile bit though.
  22. Looking at the list of those implicated it seems that Cajees can't even fix a price. No wonder no one takes their bikes there.
  23. Stretch more. (ITband) Try do exercises to strengthen your vastus medialis. (Inner thigh muscle by knee)Leg extensions (one at a time)on machine at gym. With your toe pointing out do short leg extensions but only bend your knee 10-15 degrees. 4 or 5 sets of ten each leg. This may be the worst advice ever but it really has helped my knee issues. -disclaimer- You may have a different problem so I suggest you see a physio.
  24. Try start at a pace slower than you are capable of at that moment and build up speed slowly till you find an acceptable level of pain and stick there.
