It only cost him 3 points in the champ lead ... Racing was awesome due to limited testing of the dry tires, they should take away all the practice sessions in the future!

He won because of the right tyre choice, and the fact that Rossi did not want to risk too much even on the right tyres. Look where Baz came on the right tyres. If the Ducs were on the harder tyres, or even MM, Cal Bighead would not have had it as easy as he thinks.

Motogp.com calling his save now in FP2 the save of the century ... The oke can do some crazy stuff
  4. Obviously it's a design that works well ... in any case, it's leg power and riding ability that counts most.

The Ducati has been improving from wayyy before Stoner even got back with Ducati a couple of months ago. So I'm not sure how big an influence he had on this win. I would think it's more to do with the track layout suiting their bike better than the others than anything else. And the fact that they can put more wings on it than on a F1 car ... If they all had to go back to no wings, the Ducati would be nowhere, but Yam and Honda would still be at the sharp end I'm sure.

With ex Honda okes like Stoner and Doohan hanging around in their garage something is gonna improve
  7. Agree for multi day hikes of 5 and more days, bigger than a 60L would be the minimum I would want. Done a couple of 5 days in the berg, my Deuter 70 + 10 aircontact or whatever has handled itself well. My Wife though hiked with a 38L, together we had just enough space. And in the berg you don't have to carry tons of water as you can drink from rivers up top. Fish probably another story ...?

With MM having a points lead, they could take a bit of a gamble, and sometimes they pay off big time. This was one of those times. His gravel riding skills is also not too bad motoring through the gravel and not binning it.

I do believe he can be as fast as the 2 Andreas after a couple of laps, but close to lap records ... no.

Granted he was lucky the 1st race was cancelled otherwise he might have been last. Saw a couple of riders go WTF when it was red flagged, DP was flying at that stage! Pity, but ja things turn out strange sometimes.

I'm just really amazed at the lack of confidence JL has in the wet. When did this start, do you want to tell me that you can win World Championships without being able to ride in the wet? He's had the weather on his side a lot then.

How was the save from MM this week-end https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYZye-QkowI And the scooter he borrowed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQZrLMoXwqM

I agree, the bottom line is he would have never made the corner in any case, at the rate he was going, so that means he was in the wrong.

If it wasn't for all those wings, maybe he could have flown over JL, but those damn wings kept the front wheel on the ground too much.

He can be glad the guys these days are so soft and well behaved, if it was Doohan or Schwantz who got taken out like that he would have had 2 blue eyes under that helmet next race
  17. Comfort difference will be from running lower pressures, which is possible with these because of their width. Performance, well they're lighter than most Alu rim combos (1569g), in fact I'm not sure if there are any other lighter combos in Alu? Perhaps Crest with Stans hubs, but that's still a narrow rim, the new wide rims are the future these days. Apparently lower rolling resistance on offroad/mtb with wider rims. They are not the world's strongest, I have dented mine twice already, but they still function 100%. Need to get one trued again though.

Think it's Rossi who decided to bury the hatchet finally ... wonder if it would have been the same if MM won. And now suddenly he will try to attend the Safety meetings? AI needs a race penalty, or even 2 race penalties. As his leathers says, he is a maniac, trying dumb moves, like Vinales yesterday. He should have gone for the the outside line when he saw he was going to smash into JL, not the inside.

Well done to Rossi, Mm had to ride the wheels off the Honda to just stay close. At least he tried

He needs it totally perfect, otherwise he is completely out of it. Almost like win it or bin it Rossi and Mm can ride around problems he cant

https://motomatters.com/analysis/2016/06/05/2016_barcelona_saturday_round_up_dealing.html Some stern words there from Smith and Espargaro ... Now that they are leaving yamaha they can say what they want about the factory riders
