  1. If you had say R20000 to invest somewhere on a monthly basis, what would you do with it?

When they ban the wings, I wonder if that Duc will stay on the ground at all

He might have timed this move perfectly ... we'll see. VERY interesting, after saying over and over he will never leave Yamaha. Rossi played mind games, I'm sure they had an influence. If he can win on the Duc, he will surely rub Rossi's nose in it. In some way Rossi has made it easier for JL to succeed on the Duc, after all the changes they made during and after he left.

Will believe it once it's official and he wears a red sweater Regarding Yamaha pressure, Rossi was caught out by the Michelin front, as most of the riders have been at some stage during the last few months. Could have been that he pushed 0.001 % harder because he lost all those places at the start, and that was the difference between staying on and coming off. MM made the correct tyre choice and it worked well for him. Need to see how he goes the next couple of races as it's reportedly Yamaha dominated tracks. We'll see, with him anything is possible.
  5. That thick and thin side of ESI chunky is really like .001 mm diffs. I can't even see on mine which is which after having ridden them for a year. Good to hear, was looking for something a bit more chunky, but not the Extra chunky size

Not struggling with the Honda, struggling with the Michelins ... compound getting harder and harder for the damn Ducrappies, that's why he went for the soft rear yesterday and was actually not looking too out of sorts until the mistake. But I'm sure you know this.

Reckon if JL moves, this is the closest to what will happen.

Won't say he is the only one with a personality in the sport, but I think he is the most likeable for the most people, if you look at the fan base he has around the world. Personally I support Honda, don't care who rides their bikes or about personalities. A load of front end problems again yesterday, but MM made everyone else look like amateurs. People making mistakes, overriding just to try and stay in contact. How he does not lose the front end with his crazy style ... Dani looked good and seems to have been happier with the softer tyre, a shame he had the crash and took Dovi out. So sounds like JL is going to Ducati, I would never have thought that he would have the guts to do it, will believe it once it's official. Who does Ducati get rid of, as both their riders look like they can challenge to podiums this year?

Bridgestone had similar issues few years back, it's a teething thing, Michelin will get it right at some stage, just take time, unfortunately at the expense of rider safety ...

Reddings rear tyre delaminated, hitting him on the back ... like Baz had in the Sepang testing. So they were cautious to run full distance with the tyre, thus split the race up in 2 halves for safety. As well as forcing the riders to run a higher minimum pressure.

QUOTED: "The Spaniard explained that a lack of focus led to him going off-line slightly at turn one, sending him into the path of a damp patch. A difficult corner because there was just a tight line that was completely dry. The other lines had a lot of damp patches, so if you enter a little too fast or too wide it was difficult to stay on the bike,” he said. “Unfortunately I made a mistake. Normally in dry or with full wet I'm very focussed, very concentrate. But today I wasn't riding very well, or focussed for these particular conditions. Why weren't you as focussed? Because I wasn't competitive. Because the patches were there and didn't dry up. And I wasn't competitive enough to be as fast as the other riders. They stayed on the bike and I didn't.” So, he focuses LESS when conditions are not ideal ... with an attitude like that he should hope it's all dry races in the future.

Honda is nowhere without Marquez, DP finished almost 30sec. behind him. Rossi and DP were both very lucky to be on the podium yesterday. JL seems to not want to race if everything is not going his way, he even seems to lose interest and stop concentrating. A bit one dimensional from him. I wonder how much difference there are in the 2 bikes each rider has. They always seem to have a favorite one, but surely they should be identical? As I understand MM started the race on bike 2, and did the 2nd halve on bike 1, Rossi other way around, might explain why Rossi was faster in 1st halve and MM 2nd halve?
  15. Would be interesting to get the weights on these bikes, it seems they are not all out on weight saving and even less of a "weight weenies" than some amateurs!
  16. Would be cool to know the rand per gram of each build here, my bike works out to R3 per gram
  17. I wonder how many of these bikes and owners come in under 80kg ... combined ...
  18. Thanks, congrats, that's a seriously light build that ... you got some obviously very-much researched specific items there.
  19. Where's the bar?
  20. What have you changed on it? Would like to know what you changed to get it that low, especially on a XL frame ... I have a Large 2014 Anthem X1 with 1 x 10 conversion, Wide Lightning wheels, Nobby Nic and Rocket Ron SS tubeless, ESI grips, Look STrack pedals, 720 alu flatbar, and it comes in at 11.6kg ready to ride.
  21. So once I subscribe to the weekly newsletter, I'm auto in on all the draws this year?
  22. Thanks that's some good info there!

  24. Thanks for the info, yup seems one can go debit order directly with DB X trackers Quote from one of their PDF docs: "How to Invest ETFs can be bought or sold via any stockbroker, financial advisor or direct from db x-trackers. The db x-trackers Investment Plan allows you to invest as little as R1,000 in a once off lump sum investment or via a monthly debit order of R300 or more."
  25. That fund has been going crazy up in the past 3 years ... 96% http://www.fundsdata.co.za/index.htm?load=1 Why oh why did I not go offshore 5 years ago ... We have pulled all our local stocks from SATRIX, they are into our bond, paying that off as fast as possible for the time being. Would it be beneficial to do that World index fund through Db xtrackers directly? Save from going through a middle man, or are they just like Allan Gray basically?
