I am going to spend the weekend in Tulbagh later in May. Can anybody provide feedback on these trails? How difficult / steep / technical etc. I know nothing of them other than what's on their website

I bought some SRAM X0 shifters from a fellow hubber. Sadly I didn't realise they didn't come with bar clamps. Does anyone have any clamps lying around if you've combined your brakes/shifters onto a single clamp? Thankyoudankie

The one thing that had me a little concerned was the downhill section along the farm fence, just after the one water point. Not concentrating on that section could have you getting yourself ripped to bits on the barbed wire fence, with the trail being so close to it.

Looking for a headset that is compatible with the FSA #10, which is a pressfit internal headset, 44mm for 1 1/8 straight steerer. Happy to get new bearings if necessary.

Looking for guidance. I have a couple of bike frames I would like to strip down and recoat. I was thinking of having them powder coated Ideally I’d like to keep the original color of one frame but I’m told it’s not possible to do that color in powder coating, and I need to do that with paint. Another frame I want to do in matt charcoal and the last one in gloss white. Then someone suggested ceramic coatings are better and more durable (but I have read that it’s thinner and more prone to visible scratching. What are people’s thoughts on powder and ceramic coatings (as supposed to respray)? And where is there somebody that you can recommend in Cape Town? Arms and legs apply [emoji23]

Agree it was very well organized. Very impressive. That bloody hill broke me. To the extent it made the downhill and everything afterwards more difficult than it should have been. Trying to concentrate when knackered is hard. Took a tumble but hey. Get up and ride. Will be back.
